Mariah Carey Rings In the New Year at Luxurious Resort in Dominican Republic
Mariah Carey took a luxurious getaway to ring in the new year, and it was a well-deserved one after she made history with her song "All I Want For Christmas Is You."
Mariah Carey, her boyfriend Brian Tanaka, and her children Monroe and Moroccan, all jetted to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, where they rang in the new year at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Celebrating the arrival of 2020 at a private villa, the happy family enjoyed the fruits of Mariah's hard work in the past couple of months, especially in promoting her song "All I Want For Christmas Is You."
She hit Billboard's Top 100 list for the fourth decade straight after her Christmas anthem "All I Want For Christmas Is You" hit number one.

THEIR DOMINICAN REPUBLIC GETAWAY
During their luxury vacation in the Dominican Republic, they also made sure to celebrate the birthday of Carey's makeup artist, Kristofer Buckle.
It also turned out that it wasn't just Mariah, Brian, and her children weren't the only celebrities in the area, as they celebrated new year's eve with such an unlikely guest - Ansel Elgort.
A SURPRISING GUEST
Ansel Elgort, who starred in hit movies "Baby Driver" and "The Fault in Our Stars," was in the Dominican Republic with his girlfriend and mom, when they met up with Carey and her family to "watch the massive firework show at a private villa there."
However, while it seems they came together as they ended up in the same villa to celebrate the new year, Elgort's Instagram shows that he was there because of a paid partnership with the country's tourism board.
MARIAH'S LATEST FEAT
It has been a great couple of months for Mariah Carey, as she hit Billboard's Top 100 list for the fourth decade straight after her Christmas anthem "All I Want For Christmas Is You" hit number one.
After leading the charts this Christmas season, "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has broken records around the world by being the first song to rule in different decades. This makes Mariah Carey the first artist in history to achieve such a feat.
The song is Carey's 19th No.1 on the list after earning 14 in the 1990s and another 4 in the 2000s, surpassing the likes of Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Usher, and Christina Aguilera who had songs at the top of Billboard's list for three decades each.
