Kylie Jenner Reportedly Donates $1 Million to Australia Bushfire Relief Efforts Amid Fur Slippers Backlash
Kylie Jenner paid for her sin a million times over as she allegedly did her part in the ongoing Australian wildfire disaster. Talk about making amends.
After Kylie Jenner, 22, brought awareness to the Australia fires in a bizarre way, People Magazine reports that she went on to make a considerable donation to relief efforts in the country.
Jenner's shocking offense came when she took to her Instagram stories and showed herself wearing a pair of mink fur-lined Louis Vuitton slides. She wrote, "baby pink toes" over the photo.

Heartbroken in Mink fur slippers
The picture stood in stark comparison to a photo shared just before that in which Jenner empathized with the situation in Australia. "Over half a BILLION animals have been killed... This breaks my heart," she wrote.
Many were baffled by the seemingly indiscreet flow of content coming from the Kylie Cosmetics mogul. A rep for Jenner has since spoken out about what happened.
Kylie's representative explains it away
"That post was completely unintentional," the source allegedly said. The person added that the mother-of-one is fully intent on helping relief efforts as needed.
People reported that Jenner had contributed a total of $1 million to various organizations working to stop the bushfires and care for the animals affected in Southern Australia.
Kim Kardashian counters accusations
Jenner's substantial donation also follows a clap back from big sister Kim Kardashian after someone accused the Kardashian-Jenner clan of not donating anything in a since-deleted tweet.
Kim let the Twitter user have it by hitting them with their own words and calling them out for implying the family should have everything out there. However, many noted that most of their life is publicized, anyway.
Kylie gets backlash for cars
Either way, it's great that so much help can go to the relief efforts, and we hope it makes a difference. Often, Jenner spends money elsewhere, and arguably, people have good reason to be upset.
For instance, back in October, the reality star opted to show off her car collection, and many were unimpressed by the exorbitant luxury items she had splurged on.

The self-made billionaire got backlash, especially for a $3 million Bugatti Chiron she showed off in the clip. After the negative feedback poured in, though, she deleted the post — to little avail as the internet is forever.
