Marla Gibbs was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the just-concluded Oscars Awards, and her daughter, Angela, took her celebration to social media where she gushed over the icon.
The 2020 Academy Awards saw Hollywood's veteran star, Marla Gibbs, receive the Lifetime Achievements Award, and the star's daughter couldn't help being overjoyed over her mom's latest achievement.
Angela Gibbs excitedly took to her Instagram page to proudly show off her mom at the event while celebrating the new win.

ANGELA IS PROUD OF HER MOM
Gibbs shared a four-photo post of her mom and well-wishers at the award night. In her caption, it can be deduced that the Hollywood star was proud of her legendary mother as she wrote:
"GALA OSCAR VIEWING PARTY, where my mother @marlagibbs4real received the Lifetime Achievement Award."
In the photos shared, the "Golden Girl" looked graceful in a shiny ensemble as she held up her accolade for the camera while posing amid friends.

Marla Gibbs is known for the exceptional depiction of her role as tart-tongued "Florence" in "The Jeffersons." She became TV's favorite and, in the long run, became nominated severally for Emmy and Golden Globe awards.
Marla's first major role was in "The Jeffersons" TV sitcom, which she got through the help of her then-manager, Ernestine McLendon.
During a "Washington Post" interview, Gibbs made it known that, "My thing is that it's never too late if you're still breathing. I'm still vertical, and I'm still on this side of the grass."

MARLA'S JOURNEY TO STARDOM
Gibbs didn't start out as an actress. She had an earlier career working at "United Airlines," a job she did for eleven years.
For her acting career, Marla took acting classes in community workshops in LA. She studied at institutions, including the Performing Arts Society of Los Angeles, Mafundi Institute, and Watts Writers Workshop.
Marla's first major role was in "The Jeffersons" TV sitcom, which she got through the help of her then-manager, Ernestine McLendon.
After she acted in her first and supposed-to-be only episode on the show, the producers loved her acting and decided to engage her in more episodes. As time went in, Gibbs owned her personal show, "227".
