A simple post-training outing has turned into something much bigger online, with one seemingly ordinary detail prompting fans to take a much closer look at the Jolie-Pitt family tree.

Knox Jolie-Pitt, 18, was recently photographed leaving a martial arts class in Los Angeles, looking relaxed as he made his way outside following the training session. And while plenty of people spotted similarities to his famous parents, one comparison in particular feels especially timely.

The teen wore an oversized beige graphic T-shirt with bright yellow athletic shorts and simple flip-flops, while a black strap from his yellow-and-black duffel bag crossed over his chest.

He carried a large light-blue water bottle in one hand along with what appeared to be a phone and keys, giving the whole outing a very low-key, post-workout feel.

His tousled blond hair looked slightly damp and windswept, adding to the effortlessly casual appearance that caught online viewers' attention.

Fans Can't Agree on Who Knox Looks like Most

The comments quickly became something of a Jolie-Pitt family resemblance discussion. One person wrote, "I'm sure he wishes he didn't but [sic] he looks more like Brad now than ever."

Another commenter was convinced the resemblance went in a completely different direction, declaring, "He is the IMAGE of his uncle, James Haven."

That comparison is particularly striking when looking at Knox's face in the closer photos — his light hair, facial shape, and expression had at least some fans immediately thinking of his maternal uncle.

Others saw a combination of both parents instead. One person succinctly declared, "Mixed beauty," while another swooned, "He's so gorgeous ❤️ He's got the best of both his mum and dad."

Angelina Jolie's influence was also singled out, with another person commenting, "He has her eyes ❤️." And one viewer focused on a completely different detail, writing, "He have [sic] beautiful legs."

James appeared in an emotional Instagram Reel shared by his ex-wife, Romi Imbelli, which opened with a montage of images showing the former couple smiling and spending time together and posing for pictures.

"As my story unfolds," he said, he wanted people to know he is moving forward with an open heart and "nothing but love" for himself and others. He concluded by thanking people for reading his statement and for allowing him "to be what I was meant to be," before signing off with, "Much love."

The message itself was reflective and deliberately personal rather than sensational, but Romi's accompanying caption offered considerably more context about what the moment represented.

She penned, "The secret chapter is live," and explained that writing her Substack "Breathe Mija" had been deeply healing for her. Romi said the experience gave her voice back but, even more importantly, brought her best friend back into her life, and stressed that the story had never been hers alone, but "ours."

Romi also made clear that she did not see her role as exposing somebody else's private life, explaining that she wanted to help someone she loved feel free, and that, in return, James had helped free her as well.

Her message centered heavily on forgiveness, grace and unconditional love, as she asked readers to offer James compassion as he learns to move through the world "with his head held high," exactly as he was made.

Romi also reflected on the way relationships can evolve, explaining that love does not always fit neatly into expected categories and can sometimes transform into something different from what two people originally imagined.

She said she will always love James — no longer as his wife, but as family, her best friend and one of the great loves of her life.

More context came in a second video Romi shared with James, where the pair spoke much more explicitly about their relationship, his sexuality and the complicated process of accepting that their bond would take a different shape.

Romi recalled knowing something about James' truth while simultaneously struggling with what accepting it would mean for their relationship. She described the emotional conflict of wanting to support and love him while also having to grieve the future she once believed they would share as a couple.
