Larry David of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Fame Urges People to Stay inside and Watch TV during Coronavirus Pandemic
Larry David has a message for residents of California and the wider public in general. He believes they're passing up on a once in a lifetime opportunity.
"Curb Your Enthusiasm's" Larry David is not the type to make public service announcements. However, the coronavirus pandemic has everyone doing things a bit differently.
So when David appeared in a video on Wednesday, people weren't shocked. The video was posted from the California governor's office Instagram account. It's found below.
David says stop hurting old people
In the clip, David sat in a gray comforter wearing a matching long-sleeve shirt and brown pants. To begin with, he admitted that this isn't something he usually does.
He then addressed the people who were going out during the COVID-19 pandemic and endangering the lives of others by increasing the likelihood the condition would spread.
David advised, "You're socializing too close. It's not good. You're hurting old people like me." The actor is referring to how older people are considered more at risk of dying from the coronavirus.

An opportunity you can't miss
He continued by saying that those going outside are depriving themselves of an incredible opportunity — to stay home. "Go home! Watch TV! That's my advice to you," he exclaimed.
The 72-year-old appealed to fans who watch his show, joking that the HBO series proves nothing good comes from going outside, so they should stop doing it and stay away from others.
One exception, however, might be if there's a major plumbing issue that requires someone to come into their home. In this case, the homeowner must remember to wipe down the area right after the plumber leaves.
Celebrities spread the word
David is among other celebrities who took to social media to encourage persons to stick to self-quarantine and social distancing rules. Pop icon Pink shared an article addressing younger individuals.
In the caption, she told people to stay home for the sake of her parents, her cancer-fighting friends, and herself — she has asthma. Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga also gave a PSA.
Singer and actress Miley Cyrus shared a throwback clip of her Disney show, "Hannah Montana," with a scene of her emergency. She also implored people in the caption to "be thoughtful."
David's hilarious season 10 trailer
Back in November, David's focus was still on his show, which was just preparing to launch the 10th season. The actor starred in a promo clip for the new season.
In the video, David tries to toast some slices of bread, but he doesn't have the patience to wait for them to finish. A message across the screen acknowledges similar impatience from fans.
"Curb Your Enthusiasm" came on the air back in October 1999. It ran for eleven years until 2011. Fan's popularity saw the show revived in 2017. In December 2017, news hit that a 10th season would be produced.
