Offset of 'Migos' Mourns Great Uncle Jerry Who Died of COVID-19
Offset cursed the pandemic for claiming his uncle's life as he announced the sad news in his Instagram stories.
Offset requested prayers for his family after revealing the death of his uncle due to COVID-19. The rapper shared the news on his Instagram Stories on Sunday, expressing grief over the loss of his Uncle Jerry.

“Smfh this corona [expletive] done killed my great uncle,” Cardi B’s husband wrote. “Rip uncle Jerry [expletive] man,” he added.
In a second story, the rapper shared a photo of a cross sewn on what appeared to be a jacket with a camo design and wrote, “Pray for my family.”

The sad news of Offset’s uncle came in the heels of his wife’s pronouncements against the government’s response to the threat of the pandemic. Cardi expressed her frustrations during an interview with former Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders.
Cardi famously ranted about COVID-19 last month in a clip she shared on social media...which prompted DJ Mark Keyz to release a remix of it.

Cardi, who rallied behind the Vermont senator during his bid for presidency accused the government of prioritizing the economy over curtailing the spread of the virus. She cited the late closure of the country’s borders as an example.
“They put capitalism, money, trading, goods before our health,” she said.
Cardi famously ranted about COVID-19 last month in a clip she shared on social media. The clip of her freaking out over the health and safety of people went viral which prompted DJ Mark Keyz to release a remix of it. He used parts of the rant and repackaged it with a hip-hop beat.
The remix titled “Coronavirus” which earned Cardi’s approval landed on the Billboard charts, selling thousands of copies shortly after its release. Cardi also used it to gather donations for relief efforts directed at assisting families affected by the pandemic.
Offset and Cardi are currently isolated in their home, doing their part to stop the spread of the virus. This new normal has given them a lot of time to spend with their daughter, Kulture.
Easter Sunday was a treat for Cardi’s fans who delighted in a photo of the adorable one-year-old all dressed up for the occasion.
Cardi had to leave Kulture for a couple of days after she checked herself into a hospital due to stomach pains. Luckily, she returned home after four days. Her sweet reunion with Kulture was documented in a clip.
Cardi did not provide further details about what caused the pain in her stomach but it is not believed to be related to COVID-19.
