In the twitter post shared by the publication, Robert told the hosts of the show that Bindi's wedding day was an emotional and important day for him.
He also revealed that walking her down the aisle was an honor that deeply touched him. Robert Irwin also appreciated their Zoo workers for the work they did and noted that their late dad Steve was with them in spirit at the ceremony. He said,
"We were so emotional and so happy. It was a day that you definitely wish that Dad was there for it, but I think he was definitely there with us in spirit."
Steve and Bindi's mother Terri also claimed that she and her children felt the presence of her late husband watching over them from heaven.
She also stated that they were already thinking about having children, but added that it will still take a while before people start seeing babies.
A day before her 16-year-old brother walked her down the aisle, Bindi shared a tribute to her late dad, who passed away in 2006, after he was attacked by a stingray. Bindi, 21, wrote alongside an old photo of her and her dad,
"Thank you for being my guiding light. You're always with me."
Bindi and Chandler tied the knot on the 25th of March 2020. The couple had to change all their wedding plans to keep everyone safe and healthy due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
They got married at the Australia Zoo and decided to have a small intimate wedding ceremony. They also did not have any guests due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
After their wedding, Bindi revealed that she and Chandler were planning on feeding crocodiles at the Australia Zoo after their big day.
She also stated that they were already thinking about having children, but added that it will still take a while before people start seeing babies.
The newly wedded are presently having their honeymoon at the Australia Zoo, and helping out with whatever they can. Due to the novel coronavirus, they don't have much of an option, but according to Robert, they seem to be having lots of fun.
