In honor of his son Billy's third birthday celebration, Jimmy Kimmel showed proactive kindness to the staff at Children's Hospital Los Angeles recently.
"Happy 3rd birthday to our sweet & strong Billy," Jimmy, 52, wrote on Twitter. "Thanks to the heroic doctors, nurses & respiratory therapists who saved his life & countless others."
"My wife [Molly McNearney] & I are donating 1,000 masks to [Children's Hospital LA]," added the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host, who also shared a snap of Billy dressed up as a very buff Spider-Man.

In his post, Jimmy additionally uncovered that everyone who supports the doctors and nurses at the Children's Hospital will have their donation matched when they visit the website of the hospital.
As reported by Good Morning America, not long after birth, Billy was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia, a congenital heart defect.
When he was only three days old, he had surgery at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. In May 2017, Jimmy shared the sad news with viewers on his show, "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
He said that the doctor opened Billy's chest and fixed one of the two defects in his heart. He added that the doctor "went in there with a scalpel and did some kind of magic" that he couldn't even start to explain.

Jimmy continued that the doctor opened the valve, and the operation was a triumph. According to the famous host, it was the longest three hours of his life. The adorable toddler is now healthy and happy.
In addition to Billy, Jimmy and his wife Molly are also doting parents to 5-year-old Jane. Earlier this month, Jimmy revealed that his children are obsessed with a little dish called "Pasta Tina," Good Morning America reported.
Aside from his two kids with Molly, Jimmy also has two children from his previous marriage to Gina Kimmel — Kevin and Katie.
