In a recent Instagram Story update, the mother-of-one shared that they have been "in a bit of a waiting game" as they wait for her husband to wake up days after his leg amputation.
Amanda, through several social media updates, shared that she missed her man, who was fighting for his life as he had become frail and had a hard time breathing.
Amanda stated that although his doctors think the Broadway star should have woken up by now, there was hope as "there was nothing on the MRI that would show that he won't wake up."
The actor's wife also added she believed that Nick was taking his time to wake up as he was on "Nick time."
The mother-of-one then went on to say that the "Blue Blood" actor's doctors were considering slowly taking him off the ventilator and putting in a breathing tube as they believe that would help him be more comfortable.
With that in mind, the doctors were slowly reducing the medication and the machines the actor is hooked to. What that translated to was that Nick would soon be taken off the blood pressure medicine.
People reported that the fitness trainer was seeing every step taken by the doctors as "small little wins."

Daily Mail recalled that just a day after his amputation surgery, Amanda shared an Instagram video of herself and Nick dancing at their wedding as she insisted that they would dance again.
In the clip, the duo appeared to be the cynosure of all eyes as they danced to Harry Connick, Jr.'s "It Had to Be You."
USA Today further recounted that the Tony-nominated actor had been admitted to the hospital for what they initially assumed was pneumonia.
While the first novel coronavirus test came up negative, a subsequent one revealed that Nick tested positive for COVID-19.
