Daily Joke: Foreman Sends out 2 Groups of Workers to Install Telephone Poles
The value of giving clear instructions and following up on them can sometimes best be seen in hindsight, as one foreman found out the hard way in today's daily joke. Enjoy!
Frank recently got promoted to having two teams of field workers and technicians under his command. Having angled for the position for a while, he stood broad-chested in front of the two teams - ready to hand out assignments with his new "boss face."
The recent completion of a new highway gave the green light for the erection of telephone poles along the 150-mile stretch and not much time to get it done.

"Guys, listen up! We need to hustle and get these telephone poles planted! The better we do our first big project as a team, the better for all of us! Leroy, take your guys and start planting from the east. Jack, you and your team begin here where the highway comes into town."
Frank's stern but vaguely inspirational tone sent the two teams off with enthusiasm, and at the end of the day, the two team leaders came back to report on their day's progress just as the sun-kissed the horizon.

"How many poles did your team plant, Jack?" Frank asked. Proudly, he smiled and told Frank that they planted 11 poles in total. Satisfied with the team's effort, Frank patted Jack on the back before asking Leroy the same question.
When Leroy said that they only planted two poles, Frank's face turned red with anger as he exclaimed, "What did you do all day long only to plant two poles, there are eight men in your crew altogether!"

Surprised at Frank's rage, Leroy replied, " Yes, but you haven't seen how much of them they left sticking out!"

Although, every highway can indirectly lead to a bar - where the scene was set for another joke of the day. Alcohol can bring out the happy or sad in a person, and even generosity in others.
However, when one man became drunk and generous, not everyone felt as appreciate as one might expect.
