During the May 12 at-home episode of "Live with Kelly and Ryan," the talk show host wore a pastel caftan which her husband, Mark Consuelos, gifted her over a decade ago.
[Kelly Ripa] often goes for brands such as Rebecca Taylor and Saloni, as they both create natural and comfortable outfits that always look well put together.
According to People, the 49-year-old was quick to admit that it was desperation that led her to rock the outfit as she said:
"We started broadcasting this show and we didn't know what to wear, remember, because we don't have our clothes?"
Kelly then went on to explain that caftan sales had gone up during the novel coronavirus pandemic because they were an ideal choice while working from home.
She also added that she has always known that she was a caftan person as her children and other loved ones often referred to her as "Ms. Roper." The nickname was in honor of the "Three's Company" character which was played by Audra Lindley.
Kelly's revelation comes a month after People reported that the mother-of-three turned to her 18-year-old daughter Lola Consuelos's closet for some clothes.
During an episode that saw her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, claim that he was "running out of things to wear for the show," Kelly confessed that:
"I'm now in my daughter's clothes. It's gone there."
The TV personality also made it known that she was relying on Lola's beauty skills as the 18-year-old knew how to do her hair by using the tie of a bathrobe.
Amid her current stylist and clothes choice, AOL noted that the "Live with Kelly and Ryan" co-host's outfits of the day always show off her "bright and upbeat personality."
That might be the reason she often goes for brands such as Rebecca Taylor and Saloni, as they both create natural and comfortable outfits that always look well put together.
AOL's article also came with a series of Instagram images and clips that show Kelly rocking floral prints. While some of the posts showed just Kelly, others include her, Ryan, and some of their program guests like Johnny Galecki.
