The "Street Outlaws" star, Shawn Ellington may have a reputation for being one of the distinguished racers on the show, but he's also a family man whose wife and son share a similar likeness for cars.
Shawn has been married to his wife, Erin Ellington, since 2005, and the couple has only one child named Aiden. Over the years, the 41-year-old race car driver has garnered fans and achieved a successful career dealing with automobiles.
The former "King of Streets" coined the nickname "Murder Nova" from his racing reality TV show by teaming wth his 1969 Chevy car.
His show "Street Outlaws" airs on Discovery Channel, and apart from the attention he generated from fans, the show also contributed to his net worth.
Every member of the Ellington family has taken to the business, and their social media pages show that it wouldn't be a Herculean task to pass down the craft to generations yet unborn.
Recently, his wife, known as "mrs_murdernova" on Instagram, shared an update on their son's upcoming racing reputation. She wrote:
"What a week for our kiddo! Raced with us at Tulsa Friday night...and received the Superintendent Honors Roll..."
She urged her fans to watch her mini-me race via a YouTube channel and mentioned that her son felt proud of his racing skills in the just concluded car race.
The family knows how best to connect with their fans while updating them on the recent happenings. Her husband, Shawn, posted a family image that featured the trio in front of a heavy-looking automobile last Christmas.
Last year, the signature car, 1969 Chevy, also know as OG Murder Nova was up for sale at $115,000.
The father of one knows that it's essential to make the precious family moment count. During the recent Valentine's celebration, he posted a selfie of himself and Erin while he gushed about his woman. He said:
"I couldn't even start to imagine my life without my best friend...happy Valentine's Day. I luv u more than u will ever know."
Apart from racing, the 41-year-old also co-runs an auto car parts business with one of the biggest street racers in the industry, "Big Chief." They also co-star in a show called "The Chief and Shawn show."
In the show, the pair share details concerning their personal lives and explain what it entails to run a streetcar venture.
