Meet 'Grey’s Anatomy' Star Jason George's Wife Vandana Khanna Who Is a Poet

Jason and his wife, Vandana Khanna, have been together for a long while, and they are still going strong. The "Grey's Anatomy" star took to Instagram to celebrate their wedding anniversary last year with a post that featured a wedding picture collage.

The collage displayed different snapshots from their Indian wedding. Vandana's Indian heritage probably inspired Jason's nickname for her — "Punjabi princess."

George also celebrated his wife as a great mother to their kids on Mother's Day. His Mother's Day post back in 2019 came with a heart-touching message that read:

"It was you and me before the three little #blindians...But this family only works because they are #blessed with you for a #mother."

The mother of three was born in New Delhi, India, but was raised in the U.S.A. Vandana initially schooled at Virginia university, but she went ahead to further her education at Indiana University.

She is a poet whose work has earned her accolades, including the Miller Williams Arkansas Poetry Prize and the Elinor Benedict Poetry Prize.

Khanna has authored up to two complete collections of poems: "Train to Agra" and "Afternoon Masala." She has three kids. A set of twins, Jasmine and Arun, and an older son, Nikhil.

She tied the knot with their father, Jason, long ago on the 10th of July 1999. The couple met while she was at the University of Virginia. Jason once shared one of the secrets to their long-lasting union:

"We fight fair; you're gonna have fights because if you're not having fights, you're not being honest…"

The "Station 19" actor revealed that they had a safe word, "Cauliflower" and when Jason yells it, they stop arguing and step back from each other for some time.

The family of five live together in a 3400-square-foot studio apartment where they have stayed for more than nine years. George's favorite place in the house is the living room, as it is where he gets to relax and slow down.

Born Jason Winston George, the father of three, is an actor and producer who started off his career in the 1990s. Apart from the TV show "Grey's Anatomy," the actor is also known for movies such as "Fallen" and "Sunset Beach."
