Jennifer Lopez Is Heartbroken over Postponed Wedding with Alex Rodriguez Amid COVID-19 Crisis
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are one of many couples stuck in limbo with their wedding plans. The singer said that she's heartbroken regarding the situation.
On Tuesday, Jennifer Lopez made a virtual visit to the "Today Show," where she spoke to Hoda Kotb about the status of her upcoming wedding to Alex Rodriguez.
Lopez, 50, and her fiancé, 44, have been engaged for over a year. This year was supposed to be when they officially tied the knot, but coronavirus prevented such plans from going through.
LOPEZ AND KOTB SHARE WEDDING TROUBLE
"Nobody knows," said Lopez in response to Kotb's question regarding how the wedding plans were looking. Kotb is also in a predicament with fiancé Joel Schiffman who proposed to her last November.
The journalist shared a similar outlook with Lopez when it comes to her wedding, which she and Schiffman also planned for this year. Both women have halted all planning.
Lopez expressed her disappointment, yet noted that she was forced to take time off as she'd been hoping to after the Super Bowl and filming for the "World of Dance."

'HEARTBROKEN' THAT HER PLANS FELL THROUGH
She further explained: "We had a lot of plans for this summer and this year. But everything's kind of on hold right now." She added: "I'm a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans."
Despite the lack of surety when it comes to their future, Lopez is putting her faith in God. She's not only patient, but she's calling for better things in the coming months.
In the meantime, Lopez is just ready to dance. The singer recalled her song, "Dance Again," which helped her get through a former divorce. We wouldn't be surprised if she's dancing every day during quarantine.

LOPEZ'S PREMATURE WEDDING PLANS
Last December, Lopez and Rodriguez certainly hyped up their fans when they stated that their wedding was going to be "big." They also implied that they'd be having an exotic destination wedding.
They were hoping to wed in a church since Lopez, who's been married thrice before, has never gotten married in one. As for Rodriguez, he's just saying yes to all of his fiancée's wishes.
BIG PLANS FOR HER FIRST DANCE
Lopez revealed another one of her wedding hopes earlier this month. Speaking to ET, the "World of Dance" judge reportedly said that her first dance "will be a big production of some sort."
She added that co-judges Ne-Yo and Derek Hough would probably be invited, too. The actress also told the outlet that they were looking at various new options regarding how the wedding might look.
REALIZING THERE'S NO RUSH
Lopez and Rodriguez were reportedly hoping to get married in Italy this summer before they were forced to postpone due to COVID-19.
Ultimately, the pair are more focused on their togetherness. At Oprah's 2020 Vision tour, Lopez noted, "If we're going to be together for the rest of our lives, what is the rush?"
