People often change as they grow older and realize the mistakes they have made in their younger years. However, some remain the same and feel no remorse towards those they have hurt.

In a recent Reddit post, a man sought help from the platform’s community about his decision to leave his girlfriend after finding out about her dark past.

The 26-year-old and his girlfriend were cleaning up her attic when they found old photos from the girl’s teenage years.

After asking about how “popular” she was back then the girl shared about her clique and the mean things they did, including making fun and insulting other students.

However, what left the guy speechless was when his significant other shared about one of the girls she bullied.

Several Reddit users sided with the man and emphasized that bullying is wrong at all costs, and being with someone who had no remorse is worse.

“She said one of the girls in the other group lost a parent to cancer and had since been upset, not talkative, and randomly crying,” the user wrote. “She said the girl was a crybaby in a 15 year old’s body.”

The girlfriend would tell her schoolmate to just “get over it” and would call her friends “mums” because of the support and comfort they gave.

The user couldn’t let go of his girlfriend’s past behavior because he was once in the victim’s position after losing two grandparents to cancer.

Although it happened years ago, his lover didn’t have “any remorse or regret” for her past actions based on how she spoke about the girl.

After cleaning up the attic, the boy went home and was cold to his partner. Eventually, he told her the truth about how he felt, which led to a big argument.

“She was angry and yelled at me on the phone that her past shouldn’t matter to me and that the girl shouldn’t be important,” he wrote.

The man’s girlfriend screamed at him and wished him to be “miserable” after he decided to leave her for having no kind heart towards the victim.

To make matters worse, the ex-girlfriend posted about their breakup on social media and painted the guy as the bad one who always called her out.

Luckily, a mutual friend of the former couple asked him about the truth and revealed what really happened on social media.

What do you think of this story? Other relationship problems surface on Reddit, one among them is about a mother who kicked his 15-year-old son's girlfriend out of their home.
