As reported by E! Online, a Xavier Young and Marjorie Alston got engaged while they were protesting in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Among the Hollywood stars who joined in the march are Ariana Grande, Jamie Foxx, Michael B. Jordan, Halsey, Kendrick Sampson, and Timothee Chalamet.
As seen in a video of the beautiful moment shared on Instagram by a witness, the crowd of protesters stopped what they were doing to cheer the couple and take videos of the magical moment.
While speaking to the publication, Young explained that proposing at the protest wasn't his plan initially as he and his fiancee planned not to join the protests because she was pregnant.
However, when she changed her mind and decided to be a part of the movement, he had an obligation to join her as he "didn't want her out there alone."
While packing necessary items for the protest, Young confessed that he "snuck in" the ring, but that when the march began, he totally forgot that he even had it. Luckily, a grand moment showed itself, and just like that, he went down on one knee and popped the big question.
Photographer Charles Couch, who was present at the protest and took photos of the proposal and shared them on his Instagram page.
While Xavier and his wife-to-be are excited about their engagement, he revealed that they have set their eyes on 2021 for walking down the aisle.
