Recently, Hoda held a panel discussion with a group of children to discuss the current protests and to find out how they felt about what was happening.

The discussion included 10-year-old Rosalie, Logan, Josh, Aiden, and Marley, who spoke about their experiences with racism. Marley said,

"The moment that we're living is kind of frustrating because it feels as though its an attack on people that look like me, which is really scary and disappointing."

The host continued, asking the children what their parents had told them, with Aiden responding that he had been taught to be respectful and to know his rights.

The children also spoke about their experiences of racism in schools as an incident at a summer camp, with Rosalie saying that they had been taught to seek help from adults.

Because of restrictions, Kotb has been separated from her co-host.

During the Coronavirus pandemic, Hoda has been co-hosting NBC's morning show with Savannah Guthrie and they have been talking about COVID-19 as well as the Black Lives Matter movement.

Because of restrictions, Kotb has been separated from her co-host and has recognized the importance of keeping a light on the topics. She said,
