Although the relationship between Kyle Chrisley and his father, Todd Chrisley, has suffered some rough patches, the duo appears to be in a better place.

To prove that point, Kyle took to his Instagram page to post a sweet post to celebrate his father during this year’s Father’s Day, which occurred on June 21. Along with a closeup selfie of the pair, the 28-year-old wrote:

“Happy Father’s Day to the best dad anyone could ask for. I am so grateful for everything you’ve done and continue to do for me.”

The social media show of love comes several months after E! Online reported that Kyle surprised many people after he revealed that he and his father were no longer estranged.

Aside from holding his son’s hand during that struggle, Todd has also been busy defending his son’s biracial daughter, Chloe, against racist comments.

According to the news outlet, the father of one said in a Facebook statement that Todd “welcomed back into his life with open arms” after he (Kyle) went to him with an apology.

Barely a month after he uploaded the statement, Good Morning America revealed that Kyle got hospitalized after he attempted to take his life.

Luckily for him, he had the support of his family to help him through the difficult time, which he claimed was the result of a medication he was using.

People noted that the disclosure occurred during an episode of the “Chrisley Confessions” podcast that saw Kyle explain that:

“I take medication and I had a bad side effect to it and I tried to take my own life. With the meds, I got all kinds of crazy thinking going on.”

Aside from holding his son’s hand during that struggle, Todd has also been busy defending his son’s biracial daughter, Chloe, against racist comments.

Earlier this month, Today reported that the “Chrisley Knows Best” star gave a woman, who told him to “marry your own color” after he posted a picture of him and Chloe, a piece of his mind.

Without using so many words, the 51-year-old told the woman, known as Patti, that he hoped she lived long enough to unlearn the error in her thinking. Todd has been taking care of Chloe since he was granted full custody of her in 2016.
