Vanessa Williams's daughter, Jillian Hervey, celebrated Father's Day by honoring her father, and thanking all the men in her life for their support.
The recent quarantines and enforced lockdowns in many countries, due to the novel Coronavirus, have separated many families around the world, with many lamenting the inability of online communication to replace regular old-fashioned physical contact.
These developments have increased many people's awareness of the importance of loved ones in their lives. As a result, Father's Day this last weekend saw lots of declarations of love and gratitude with the relaxation of many lockdown practices.

Jillian Hervey, daughter of popular actress and singer, Vanessa Williams, joined in the celebrations as she spent some quality time with her father for the first time in months. Jillian shared a photo of herself and her dad with her 140,000 followers on Instagram, marking the occasion.
The post featured a slideshow of the singer with many of her loved ones as she showed her gratitude to all the important male personalities in her life. She captioned the photo:
"Thank you, Dad, Ray, Rick, Leroy, and Papa. Swipe for love. #happyfathersday #teamlionbabe."
The R&B artist also expressed: "I was blessed to see my Dad for the first time since corona town. So grateful for his love and support in all areas of my life. I have had great men guide me through life, and I honor them today and everyday."
Fans of Jillian joined her in appreciating her father. One commented: "Bless him !" while another adored the father-daughter combo, replying: "Sweet!". Others noted the pair's semblance, calling them twins.
Williams confessed in an interview in 2019 that her view of her father has not always had the best effect on her relationships.
Jillian's mother, and first African-American Miss America, Vanessa Williams, is currently on her third marriage. She tied the knot with Jim Skrip in 2015, and admits to having great admiration for her father as he was "good at everything."
Williams confessed in an interview in 2019 that her view of her father has not always had the best effect on her relationships. She explained that her expectations of a relationship were really high because of her father. Williams admitted:
"My father was my example of what I expected to find in a partner. And that's impossible for anyone to live up to."
Jillian and her siblings maintain a friendly relationship with their mother, who revealed that one of her most successful television roles, as the villain, Wilhelmina Slater, on the hit show, "Ugly Betty," was suggested by Jillian's sister, Melanie.
The lead singer of the R&B duo "Lion Babe" recently turned 31 on June 19, and her mother took to Instagram to post a throwback picture and penned a beautiful caption expressing her delight.
This year's celebration was definitely handicapped by circumstances due to the current pandemic, as Jillian's family celebrated her 30th birthday, last year, in style at the Los Angeles Zoo. Jillian's grandmother, her sister, Sasha Fox, and Vanessa's manager, Kathy Ireland, were all present at the event.
