Vanessa Williams' Daughter Jillian Shares Rare Family Photos on Sister Sasha's 20th Birthday

Vanessa Williams' daughter, Jillian Hervey, celebrated her baby sister, Sasha Fox, as she turned 20. The big sister posted adorable family photos on social media.

Former crowned beauty queen, Vanessa Williams, has four children from her past relationships. Though the kids do not share the same father, they share a cordial relationship among themselves.

Singer Jillian Hervey who was from the actress's first marriage recently uploaded a series of throwback photos.

One of the photos showed all the siblings, while others featured a few of Sasha's hang out with her sister. Both girls seemed happy to be spending time together, as they cuddled and smiled in the images. The musician went on to serenade her sister with the sweetest and nicest of words. She wrote:

"Having a nightcap and toasting to my sister @sashafoxyy… there was never a doubt in my mind that at 20 would be breathtakingly beautiful..."

Apart from ensuring that her children have a healthy relationship, Vanessa also plays BFFs with her girls. CBS reportedly claimed that the actress loves the openness she has with two of her oldest daughters, Melanie and Jillian, who she explained can influence her choice of role on-screen.

Over the years, Vanessa has learned to put family over career, and that has worked perfectly for her.

Melanie Hervey, her first child, told Vanessa to star in the blockbuster show, "Ugly Betty" as the evil Wilhelmina Slater.

On the other hand, the "Ugly Betty" star's mother doesn't agree with the "cordiality" between mother and child. She emphasized during an interview that a parent's role is different from a friend's. She said,

"...I felt that it was important that I be a parent first. Vanessa had lots of friends, and I felt it was important for us to raise her as her parents."

Even with the different views, Vanessa agreed to have learned some essential lessons from her mother. For example, being an independent woman even after marriage.

While speaking to Glamour magazine on her two failed marriages, the entertainer got candid about her background and how that influenced her perspective on marriage.

The mother of five dished out advice as she spoke about her experiences, and also established that none of her former lovers were bad men. Over the years, Vanessa has learned to put family over career, which has worked perfectly well for her. In recent times she's worked with two of her daughters.

Sasha and her mother both joined forces for a skincare campaign in 2013. Recently, the actress featured on the covers of Essence Magazine with her lookalike daughter, Jillian.
