John Legend and Wife Chrissy Teigen Get Dressed and Have a 'Special Dinner' in Their Backyard

Singer John Legend gets special Father's Day treatment from his wife, supermodel and cookbook author, Chrissy Teigen, with a sweet dinner in their backyard.

Multi-award winning singer John Legend is one appreciated daddy and husband. The singer's wife, Chrissy Teigen, went all out to give him the best Father's Day surprise yet.

Legend took to Instagram to share a photo from the memorable evening. He captioned it:

"For Father's Day, my queen made me feel like a king. She knows how I love to get dressed up and go out on a date."

The sweet message Legend penned revealed that they had been unable to go out of their home for a proper date (due to the quarantine restrictions), so his thoughtful and loving wife decided to plan one right in their backyard.

He ended his message with a sweet "I love you," and expressed how grateful he felt to be the father of the model's children.

The photo showed the lovebirds standing together all dressed up. Teigen was wearing a marvelous coral feathered tunic while Legend was looking absolutely smashing in a camel-colored suit. The singer's fans and followers took turns in the comments fawning over how sweet the lovebirds were.

Legend and Teigen met on the set of a video shoot, and it was love at first sight.

Teigen did not leave her hubby to post memories of their at-home special night out alone. The supermodel took to her own Instagram page to share the same photo he posted.

Looking stunning in that dashing coral tunic while pressing a kiss to her beau's cheeks was a sight Teigen's fans loved to see. She penned a sweet message to him and bashfully admitted that she was making up for all other Father's Days that she had done wrong. She wrote:

"When you have never done anything for your husband for Father's Day, the one time you do, he has the BEST Father's Day!"

And indeed, it was the best Father's Day for Legend who was beaming in the photo like a kid in a candy store. It would be hard not to be so delighted when his wife surprised him with a dinner date on their deck out of nowhere.

The love story the husband and wife share is one that's melted even the strongest of hearts. Legend and Teigen met on the set of the video shoot for the 2007 album track "Stereo."

They fell in love and were soon walking down the aisle. Legend and his doting wife have been married for almost a decade since they tied the knot in September 2013, in Italy.

The model ran into a hilarious hitch with her wedding dress when she reportedly purchased five dresses because she felt guilty for trying them on and apparently, gave them out to good homes with brides in need of a wedding miracle.

Seven years down the line, the singer and model duo now have two children, their daughter, Luna, and their son, Miles. The only other magic present in their home besides their children is their love for each other.
