During an appearance on Good Morning America, the supermodel informed her fans that she was excited about starting a new journey on this path. Tyra, who is also a TV personality, model, producer, businesswoman, and author, said:

“I am excited about hosting and executive producing — getting in there, live TV, you never know what happens on live TV.”

Tyra used to be a force to reckon with on the international scene as a fashion model. The TV personality was also the first Black female to earn a spot on the cover of the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated.

According to People, the 46-year-old star’s new job would be the first time that the ABC network would employ a solo host that is Black and female. The site added that Tyra claimed that she enjoyed “breaking these doors down so that we don’t have any more firsts.”

Amid the show of love Tyra has received from fans and supporters, Fox News revealed that Tom reacted playfully to the news about his replacement. The news outlet pointed out that Tom, who has been the host of DWTS for over a decade, took to Twitter to state:

“I guess I won't be getting back my monogrammed towels.”

As for her long-standing career, Biography divulged that Tyra used to be a force to reckon with on the international scene as a fashion model. The TV personality was also the first Black female to earn a spot on the cover of the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated.

Tyra continued to break records when she landed the role as the host of “America's Next Top Model.” The “Modelland” author would later go on to launch her talk show — an effort that earned her two Emmy Awards.

The multi-talented celebrity didn’t stop there as she has launched her own cosmetics line, and in 2017, she took over from Nick Cannon as the host of “America's Got Talent.”
