Check Out Jennifer Hudson's Son David Jr's 11th Birthday Celebration with Friends in New Updates by His Proud Mom

Jennifer Hudson's son, David Jr. recently turned 11, and to celebrate his big day, he got to hang out with his friends and mother.

Turning a new age is a big deal. Getting to celebrate one's day of birth with friends and family is all the more impressive.

Jennifer Hudson is one proud mother. She took to Instagram to prove how proud she was of her son, David Jr., who turned 11.

Hudson shared a series of pictures and videos that highlighted the day and the fun she had with her son. The posts showed David hanging out with friends while posing for cute snaps with his mom.

The first video she shared was a boomerang video of David Jr. dancing in front of his arcade-themed cake. She captioned her post, saying:

"D-11 bday turn up!!!!"

The next images were that of David Jr. and a couple of friends holding toys and fully kitted for a game of tag. Another slide showed Hudson and her son smiling and making goofy poses for the camera.

All those in attendance wore a customized T-shirt with the words "D-11" written on it and some of the shots showed Hudson and David Jr. dancing and playing together.

This led to a long and tumultuous custody battle that was finally settled last year.

From the pictures and videos shared, there was a DJ in attendance and the children played basketball while Hudson wowed them with her sonorous voice. Taking to the comments section, someone said:

"Happy Birthday! Can't believe you. He is 11! Oooh my God!"

Followers of the singer commented that they were in shock at how fast David Jr. was growing. Someone exclaimed that he was almost as tall as his mother and in a few years, he was going to be way taller.

Hudson welcomed David Jr. with her former partner, WWE wrestler and actor David Otunga, in 2009. For her, the birth of her son made her more appreciative of a mother's love.

Although Hudson and Otunga had a romantic beginning, things between them soon turned sour, and this led to a long and tumultuous custody battle that was finally settled last year.

Interestingly, there were no pictures of Otunga at his son's birthday party, but it was evident that David Jr. had all the fun in the world as he wore a smile throughout the pictures and videos shared.
