Young Woman Tells Her Parents They Are Irresponsible for Getting Pregnant a Sixth Time

A young woman whose parents are pregnant for the sixth time is rife with anger, calling them irresponsible for their actions.

Welcoming a child into the family is most times great news; however, for this woman, the reverse was the case. Recently, she took to Reddit to share the story of her parents getting pregnant again.

The 19-year-old explained that she is the second of five kids, with an older brother who is 21, two brothers who are 13, and 7, and a 13-year-old sister.

Despite having such a large family, the poster noted that she grew up penniless as her father worked a medicare job while her mother stayed at home. Despite their financial state, they didn’t stop having babies, because they believe children are a gift from God.

As a result, they all had to rely on financial aids from relatives and hand me down clothes as they didn’t have the opportunity for new clothes, toys, or even did anything fun.

Luckily, she and her older brother were able to escape the clutches of poverty and get into a good college, hopeful for a future better than that of their parents. Due to the current novel coronavirus pandemic, she and her brother had to return home and be with the rest of the clan.

On one fateful day, their parents called all of them into the living room, telling them they had big news for them. She was excited, but her joy soon turned to anger when her mother said she was pregnant for the sixth time.

Livid and furious, the poster flared up and shouted at her parents, calling them “stupid and irresponsible.” Although her brother tried to calm her down, she couldn’t relax as she asked her parents if they had any plan to provide for the unborn child and not bring it into poverty.

That was when her dad told her that they hoped she would give up her inheritance money which an uncle of hers left for the five of them. She blatantly refused, telling her parents that the money was supposed to cater to her college funds, and her father called her “selfish.”

She advised them that if they didn’t have a solid financial plan for the kid, they should abort it and her mother began crying, “calling her a heartless monster.”

Due to her outburst, the house has been “tense”, and her parents have been avoiding her. In a subsequent update, she explained that she felt terrible about her reaction and reached out to some family members to talk to her parents.

One of their cousins, who is an accountant, tried to explain to them the financial liability another child could bring, but her pleas turned on deaf ears. According to the poster, one of her aunties also came around to speak to her parents but they insulted her and chased her out of the house.

Now, the poster has moved out of her parents’ house to a friend’s basement and pays the rent. She has also decided to cut all ties with her parents, keeping contact with only her siblings.

Another similar story about family drama is that of a man who left his biological daughter out of his will because he barely knows her.

According to him, he has been estranged from her since she was two years old as her mother made his life traumatic. Now, his new wife has a daughter who is open to him, and for him, he believes she is his real daughter.
