For many years, famous singer Dolly Parton's fans have suspected that she had hidden tattoos. After so long, the singer finally opened up about the rumors in a recent exclusive with People:

"I do have some tattoos, that's true. But they're tasteful. I'm not a tattoo girl."

Parton went on to describe her body art. She said they were pretty, artsy, and were often started out to cover up one scar or the other, which she revealed in 2019.

She did not get her tattoos to make any sort of big statement. The legendary country singer revealed that she had ribbons, bows, and butterfly tattoos.

Parton also described her tattoos as very delicate, featuring a lighter color scheme rather than the popularly-adopted darker inks.

She was bedridden due to her top-heavy physique.

The singer recalled a time when she fell very ill for a long while and needed to use a feeding tube. The tube left a mark on her side, and she disliked the purple coloring the scar left.

To cover up the feeding tube scarring, she had a small yellow and brown beehive tattoo right on top of it, with a tiny bee right on top of the beehive.

Parton added that she had a knack for turning negatives into positives. She decided that she would make something beautiful out of an unpleasant experience that she had gone through.

When asked if she had any tattoos of her husband, Carl Dean, the country music icon, said that she did not. Instead, she sweetly said that Dean, who she had been married to for 54 years, was tattooed on her heart.

Laughing in her signature good-natured manner, Parton joked that she might end up getting the tattoos all over her body, just so the rumors and speculations would be proven right.

The rumors of her tattoos came from many fans distrusting her costumes. Parton was always spotted wearing shirts and outfits with long sleeves, despite never shying away from showing off her curvaceous figure.

On the issue of rumors about her, Parton also joked that the tabloids loved to peddle the most ludicrous ones about her. She laughed at how there was one absurd headline claiming that she was bedridden due to her top-heavy physique.

Neither those rumors about her health nor her body ink was true, but the country singer clearly derived some humor from them. Just like her tattoos, Dolly Parton remains as classy, beautiful, and artsy, as always.
