'Yellowstone' Fans Think Roarke Killed Beth Dutton after They Discover a Key Clue
Fans of the hit Western drama "Yellowstone" continue to spew plot theories more than a month after the finale episode of season 3 aired. Recently, avid viewers weighed in on the possibility of Roarke Morris being behind the murder of Beth Dutton.
Season 3 of the popular Paramount Network series "Yellowstone" ended on a major cliffhanger. Unsurprisingly, fans found themselves attempting to put the puzzle pieces together.
On Reddit, a fan's theory about the culprit behind Beth Dutton's murder is gaining traction. The fan wrote: "Roarke did it. He was told to start treating this like an oil deal in Yemen. They wipe out the whole towns to get what they want."

Fans were shocked when a package exploded inside the office of Beth Dutton, played by Kelly Reilly, during the finale episode of season 3. The timing of her apparent death could not have been worse.
Prior to the explosion, she and ranch handler Rip Wheeler, played by Cole Hauser, had taken their relationship to a new level. Interestingly, she was the one who popped the question. This exciting twist may be a reason other fans don't think the character will be killed off. One fan insisted:
"I just don't see Beth as being dead."

Nonetheless, for many fans, it seems unlikely the explosion would not kill Beth. Aside from her, the whole Dutton family was targeted by unidentified assailants.
Whether Beth or any other member of the Dutton family survived the attacks is still anyone's guess. The mystery will not be revealed until the start of season 4 next year.
Earlier, Wes Bentley, who plays Jamie Dutton, said that the twist was truly a game-changer.
What fans are getting certain about is that Roarke was behind the killing of Beth. It was Willa Hayes, played by Karen Pittman, who told Roarke to treat their struggle for the Dutton family's ranch like an oil deal in Yemen, foreshadowing a major happening later in the episode.
The actors themselves are surprised by the turn of events on the show. Earlier, Wes Bentley, who plays Jamie Dutton, said that the twist truly was a game-changer.
He told Entertainment Weekly that the "board got wiped" with the final scenes of the latest season. He said that, as an audience, it felt to him like the season 3 finale set the stage for drastic changes on the show's storyline.
Bentley also shared his two cents on his character Jamie Dutton, describing the latter as a spineless man. Jamie is a lawyer whose loyalty to his family is questionable.
Before the chaotic closing scenes, Jamie allows the sale of the ranch, despite his family's desire to keep what they believe was theirs. Nonetheless, Bentley said it was his favorite scene from the series.
Another subject of discussion online after the finale episode of season 3 aired concerned the supposed plot hole regarding the financial situation of Rip Wheeler, who dug up his mother for her ring so he could use it to propose to Beth.
