A NEW CHAPTER

In August, showrunner Dan Fogelman revealed that the series would be introducing the COVID-19 crisis into their storyline. At one point in the 30-second clip, we see Kevin, played by Justin Hartley, wearing a face mask.

To open, star Mandy Moore as Rebecca says: "I think it's time we start a new chapter." Every character gets at least a second of airtime in the trailer as there are quick flashes before it all slows down.

FOGELMAN ANSWERS FAN QUESTIONS

In August, showrunner Fogelman attempted to answer questions relating to the series. At the time, he said the production and airing time was undetermined. However, he was very blunt about whether COVID would be addressed.

Fogelman stated that they had decided to "attacking things head on" and that he was proud of the writing team. He further revealed that they intended to reach the same ending for the season in exactly the same way.

CHRISSY TEASES FANS

Earlier this month, Chrissy Metz, who plays Kate Pearson, teased fans when she said that the new season would reveal a very intense part of her character's past that had never been brought up before.

Fans won't see it coming. Metz said that Fogelman even had to ask her if she was comfortable with the scenario — whatever it is. In two weeks, fans may have an idea of Kate's dramatic past.

Meanwhile, loyal fans can continue following the beloved cast members and see what is going on in their real lives. For instance, Moore recently announced she was expecting with husband Taylor Goldsmith. Congratulations to them!
