It is hard to please everyone in the entertainment and fashion industries, but even if so-called fashion experts didn’t quite get her style, her fans were all compliments for the celebrity.
32-year-old Australian model and TV presenter Kate Peck has just debuted a new hairstyle, and she did it in a glamorous fashion, making a red carpet appearance with her fresh look in the city of Sydney, in her native country.
Peck was seen wearing a new fringe haircut as she arrived at the G.H. Mumm Melbourne Cup luncheon, in Sydney Harbour, turning heads as usual in a white ensemble by Dion Lee.

Excited about finally sharing her changed look with the world, Peck took to her Instagram feed on November 4, 2020, to gush about her fringe haircut, even mentioning it in the post’s caption, writing:
“Melbourne Cup! What a day, what a dress, what fun to rock a new do.”
Peck’s renewed look and overall appearance in the aforementioned post was well-received among her many fans and followers in the social network, with several of them taking to the comments section to compliment her.
While Peck’s fans were delighted by the model’s look for the sports event, fashion critics were not as pleased by her choice of an outfit, with Daily Mail including her in the list of the worst dressed celebrities at the 2020 Melbourne Cup.
The news outlet mocked Peck’s nude-toned corseted mini-dress and mesh veil by suggesting that the MTV presenter had been following Lady Gaga’s fashion advice, because of its “avant-garde” style.
The Melbourne Cup is one of the most expected events for fans of racing horses, and in addition to the thousands of fans that normally attend it, there is always a number of celebrities that grace the event with their stylish looks.
This year, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no sight of the crowds cheering horses, so the organizers tried to inject new life in the social-distancing version of the event by inviting celebrities to pay homage to classic Hollywood’s fashion.
Peck is mostly known as an Australian MTV presenter, but she has also experience in covering and hosting sports events and transmissions, having covered the Melbourne Cup last year and reported the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix in 2017.
As a model, Peck’s career took off as a model for the Australian brand Myer, of which she was the ambassador between 2014 and 2016, before she became a household name as a VJ for Australian MTV.
