With the winter season coming, many enjoy warm food and drinks to keep a balanced temperature. While others favor delicious desserts, others crave a hot cup of their favorite beverage.

However, some find the process of making their own drinks too complicated and difficult to follow. Fortunately, we have some of the easiest and unique recipes that will satisfy your taste buds for the cold weather.

MEXICAN SPICED HOT COCOA

Ingredients:

1 serving of hot cocoa mix

2 tbsp. whipped cream (sweetened)

2 pinches ground cinnamon

2 pinches ground chipotle pepper

Directions:

Make the hot cocoa by following the package instructions.

Mix the liquid ingredient with 1 pinch each of the dry ingredients.

Swirl the whipped cream on top of the drink.

Sprinkle 1 pinch each of the dry ingredients above.

EASY BLENDER EGGNOG

Ingredients:

4 eggs (large)

2 c. heavy cream

¾ c. brandy liquor

½ c. sugar

¼ tsp. nutmeg

Directions:

Mix and simmer the heavy cream, sugar, and nutmeg together in a saucepan.

Blend eggs for a minute in a blender with a low-speed setting.

Slowly add the cream mixture until frothy, and blend for half a minute more.

Add the brandy, continue to blend, and serve warm.

MALTED HOT CHOCOLATE

Ingredients:

1 serving of hot cocoa mix

3 tbsp. powdered malted milk

3 pcs. marshmallow

Directions:

Preheat the broiler.

Line the marshmallows on a foil-lined broiler-proof baking sheet and broil for half a minute or until lightly browned.

While waiting, make the hot cocoa by following the package instructions.

Mix the powdered milk with the hot cocoa.

Place toasted marshmallows on top and serve immediately.

MINTY HOT COCOA FLOAT

Ingredients:

1 serving of hot cocoa mix

¼ c. mint chocolate chip ice cream

1 twig fresh mint leaves

Directions:

Make the hot cocoa by following the package instructions.

Add ice cream on top and finish with mint leaves.

WARM HAZELNUT

Ingredients:

½ c. hot water

1 ½ oz. Frangelico

2 tbsp. heavy cream (lightly whipped)

Directions:

Mix hot water and Frangelico.

Top with whipped cream and serve warm.
