Eddie Van Halen's Widow Janie Mourns the Loss of Mother Following Husband and Brother's Deaths

Rock icon Eddie Van Hallen's widow Janie Liszewski is devastated after she loses both her brother and her mother.

On October 6, 2020, Janie Liszewski lost her husband of eleven years, rock legend, Eddie Van Halen. Eddie's death from cancer at 65 was the second in Janie's life in a matter of months.

Janie's brother, Tom had passed away in June 2020, but it seems that the grieving widow has suffered yet another loss.

A THIRD LOSS

2020 has been a year of grief and loss for Janie, and she announced her most recent tragedy on Instagram. Alongside a photo of herself and her mother, she wrote:

"Mom has left this earth to be with her husband Martin, son Tom and son in law Ed. I am absolutely devastated and just don’t know how much more I can take. ?"

Janie has been struggling to come to terms with the loss of her husband, and her mother's passing has deepened her pain. She had recently posted on Instagram referring to Eddie's death:

"My heart and soul have been shattered into a million pieces. I never knew it was possible to cry so many tears."

Janie and Eddie met when she was hired to be his publicist. The lovely brunette had worked as a stuntwoman and wrestler and was a highly successful publicist in the adult film industry when she met the guitarist.

Three years after they started working together, Eddie and Janie married in his home, with his Alex officiating as an ordained minister, and his son Wolfgang serving as his best man.

Eddie had turned his life around and had revealed that he had been sober since 2008, around the time he started dating Janie.

Eddie had previously been married to actress Valerie Bertinelli, with whom he shared 29-year-old son Wolfgang. The marriage had foundered due to Eddie's struggles with alcoholism and drug abuse.

In 2000, he was diagnosed with tongue cancer, which resulted in surgery that removed a third of his tongue, and was declared cancer-free in 2002.

Eddie had turned his life around and had revealed that he had been sober since 2008, around the time he started dating Janie.

Sadly, Eddie's cancer returned, this time affecting his throat. Janie Van Halen has had to cope with this third devastating loss, this time without her beloved husband's support.
