Hershey's Responds to Upset Fans after Updating Classic 'Christmas Bells' Ad
Christmas celebrations are already popping up everywhere, with some of the most popular brands ringing in the holiday season. However, famous chocolate manufacturer Hershey's appears to have made a recent change that did not sit well with fans.
Earlier this week, famous chocolate maker Hershey's took to Twitter to calm fans who were outraged by its decision to switch Christmas ads. According to reports, the firm recently changed its Christmas ads, which have been airing every year since 1989.
The ad features bells playing the "We Wish you a Merry Christmas" tune. This year, however, the company tweaked it. The 2020 version, titled "Bells to Blossoms," features a child's hand popping into a frame and grabbing a Hershey's Kiss.

This was followed by candies playing a few bars of the song. Then, a father-daughter duo uses the chocolate bar to scoop some peanut butter blossom cookies while the carol plays on.
Sadly, the new modification did not particularly sit well with fans. Many immediately took to Twitter to air their discontent, with one fan saying they have to bring the original commerical back if they really want to get America back.
Several other fans added that they also miss the original version of the company's Christmas jingle. Most highlighted that they had been waiting all year to see it again.
Some fans also explained that some of their loved ones had grown accustomed to the original jingle. With a new one up, it is almost impossible to get used to it.
While firms might try to change regularly, the fans are the boss always.
While some fans acknowledged that the new tune is quite cute, the consensus remains that everyone will prefer to have the old one back. Thankfully, the firm listened to Americans.
Hershey's has finally answered the majority's requests, confirming that it found the perfect way to incorporate the new ad while retaining the old one. In a comment, the firm said:
"We share your love for our iconic Bells ad, which is why we will be airing both the original and our new Kisses holiday ad. Keep an eye out for them both!"
The company appears to have learned a significant lesson through all of this. While firms might try to change regularly, the fans are the boss always.
Hershey's is not the only firm to be making chances this holiday. Dunkin, the famous coffee and pastry shop, recently announced a new holiday-themed flavor.
Per reports, the firm launched the sugarplum macchiato, a new drink to usher in the holiday season perfectly. Dunkin will also launch its frosted snowflake donut this period. They claimed that the pastry would be the perfect purple pairing for the sugarplum macchiato.
