Woman Refuses to Spend Any More Money on Her Boyfriend's Illness — Why?

A woman decided to share her problem with her boyfriend, who has an illness. According to her, she pays for his therapy until one day, she decided to stop paying for a serious reason.

Writing to Reddit, the woman explained that she and her boyfriend had moved in together just before the quarantine. Her boyfriend has severe anxiety.

The poster, who also has depression, shared that she has supported her boyfriend ever since they began dating. She paid for his therapy and other expenses.

The woman said that his boyfriend always thinks he is very sick. "It's called like hypochondria in English," she said, adding that he is never actually sick every time she takes him to a doctor.

Due to his health problem, her boyfriend quit his job, prompting her to work for both of them. Unfortunately, she recently got demoted because she cannot work full time in person.

That's when her serious problem started because she was also short of money. The woman said that recently, her boyfriend called, asking her to take him to the doctor because he was sick.

To make matters worse, everyone was blaming her.

"I was so frustrated that I just started crying," the Reddit poster explained. "I told him that I couldn't pay any more money, I had like 30$ for the rest of the week."

She said that her boyfriend is aware he has hypochondria, but he still insists on going to the doctor. The woman added that she was so tired of their situation.

Meanwhile, after telling her boyfriend that she could not pay for his therapy anymore, the woman said he walked out of the house and then blocked her "on everything."

None of his friends would inform her where he is. To make matters worse, everyone was blaming her. The woman admitted that she felt guilty but that she cannot afford to lose any more money.

In an update to her post, the woman explained that her boyfriend called, telling her he was willing to take her back. But she told him she did not want to and then broke up with him over the phone.
