A Man Throws Away His Wife's Medicine — See Why He Did It

A married man took to social media platform Reddit to explain why he threw away his wife's medication amidst their conception challenges.

Social media has become a place for people to air their challenges and vent their emotions. A Reddit user took to the site to share with other users why he threw away his wife's medication, which led them to have a fight.

The user said he and his wife have unsuccessfully tried to get pregnant for a while, and their lack of success has left his wife being self-conscious.

According to the user, results have shown that the problem does not come from his wife but from him. Despite that, she habitually visits different doctors thinking the problem lies with her.

The married user claimed that his wife developed an obsession with medicine even though she does not know what it does or have a prescription from the doctors — she just wants to take them.

The user revealed that his wife had undergone different tests, and the results showed that she was healthy. She already has a son — his stepson — which is an indication that she has no restriction on her part.

It was a common practice in his wife's home country for people to get drugs from pharmacies.

Seeing how bothered and self-conscious his wife is, the user said he suggested they go for couple's therapy, but his wife was unwilling to consider it.

The user revealed that his wife recently got a parcel from her aunt while she was at work. Usually, the couple opens each other's parcels.

When he opened the parcel, it contained leaves that needed to be dried, but between the leaves, he found three antibiotics which his wife illegally ordered from her home country and without the doctor's prescription.

The user said he put a call through to his wife at work and asked her about the antibiotics in the parcel. She claimed it must have been a mistake.

The user said he was left with an off feeling when his wife hesitantly agreed for him to throw away the medicine since it was a mistake.

When she got home, they had a fight about him throwing away her medicine. According to him, she only said yes because she did not want to cause a scene on the phone since she was at work.

The married user revealed that it was a common practice in his wife's home country for people to get drugs from pharmacies without a doctors' prescription. And so, he sought the opinion of other users.
