In a recent post on Instagram, model and documentary filmmaker Gelila Bekele, the long time girlfriend of American actor Tyler Perry, looked gorgeous in a colorful outfit as she posed with five kids in Ethiopia.

Gelila Bekele has always been fighting to better the fate of her people. The Ethiopian-born model continues to try to make a difference in her homeland with several noble acts over the years.

With multiple posts on her social media accounts through time, the 34-year-old has made it clear that home will always be where the heart is. In one of her recent posts, she was seen posing with five girls in Ethiopia.

In the photo, Bekele was seen standing in the middle of the colorfully dressed girls, fully clad in gorgeous traditional attire. It was a brightly colored maxi-dress complete with a blue shawl around her head.

The model had a huge smile on her face as she carried one of the girls in her arms while they posed for the camera. Moved by the deplorable plight of her people, she gave a heartfelt caption, saying:

“The hate and the wars… the rockets and the worships… are all symbols of human failure, but love LOVE reconstructs… revives…”

However, besides being an active humanitarian, Bekele is also a devoted mother. She shares a six-year-old son, Aman, with her longtime boyfriend, American actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry.

The proud father opened up about his experience being a parent to the adorable boy. He revealed that Aman gave him the greatest joy in life and added that it was just wonderful watching him learn and discover.

Today, his net worth is estimated to be about $1 billion, putting him on the membership path of the Forbes 400.

Bekele and Perry met at a Prince concert in 2007 after the actor made a move to talk to her because of her unparalleled beauty. They remained friends for two years and officially kick-started their relationship in 2009.
