Although many fans wrote that the professional dancer looked gorgeous, Carson shared that she has always been self-conscious about her weight as she grew up as a dancer.
Carson shared that she was hesitant to share the photos because she thought her body was not good enough. However, she revealed that she is learning to celebrate her body as she wrote:
"I’m learning to celebrate my body the way it is now and celebrate the small successes to a HEALTHY body, spirit, and mind??? "
Nikki Bella, whose husband is "DWTS" star Artem Chigvintsev, commented on Carson's post and wrote that she looked incredible. It was amazing her body gave birth to her healthy son Leo only a few months prior.
Many of Carson's friends and fans took the moment to praise the pro dancer and compliment her on her boldness, congratulate her on her baby, and of course, compliment her beauty.
Her parents had to meet their newborn grandson through the window as they were not finished with their quarantine time.
This is not the first time Carson has opened up about her journey of accepting her new postpartum body. In February, she shared a few Instagram stories about her feelings towards her body.
In one story, she wrote that she was overwhelmed by the new stretch marks she found on her body but wrote that she was proud that her body had given birth to her son. In one story, she shared:
"I guess when I found them the other day in a new spot I was emotional & in the process of accepting my new momma body."
Carson and her husband, Carson McAllister, welcomed their son, Kevin Leo, in January 2021. The mom actually revealed that the new parents had tested positive for COVID-19 at the time of his birth.
Her parents had to meet their newborn grandson through the window as they were not finished with their quarantine time. McAllister had given them COVID-19 on Christmas Eve.
Carson and McAllister got married in the Mormon church in 2016. Many of her professional dancer friends were her bridesmaids, including Jenna Johnson, Emma Slater, and Brittany Cherry.
The couple, who attended the same high school together in Utah, announced they were expecting their son in July 2021. Carson has been sharing the most adorable photos of her baby since!
