Two Couples Get Eliminated This Week on 'Dancing With the Stars' – Recap
Two couples were shockingly axed on "Dancing With the Stars," while viewers erupted over one dancer's survival, calling the outcome unfair.
"Dancing With the Stars" Season 34 turned up the heat during "One Hit-Wonders Night," with emotions running high as the first eliminations of the season began. The night delivered flashy routines, bold song choices, and a tense results reveal that had the ballroom buzzing and fans rushing online to share their thoughts.

Judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli came up with the results by combining the audience votes from the first two weeks with their scores across both weeks. When the final numbers were tallied under the judges' watchful eyes, two stars were abruptly shown the door, marking the first exits of the season.
The Ballroom Bloodbath Begins
Corey Feldman and pro Jenna Johnson earned 15 out of 30 for their Cha Cha to Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back," while Baron Davis and pro Britt Stewart performed a Samba to Mark Morrison's "Return of the Mack," scoring 18 out of 30. Both couples were swiftly cut from the competition after the scores and votes were tallied.
But it was Hilaria Baldwin's Tango with Gleb Savchenko, set to Haddaway's "What Is Love," that stirred the most conversation. She received 21 out of 30 and secured a spot in the next round, yet not everyone was thrilled about her advancing.
Fan Uproar: 'I'm Done Watching This Season'
Some viewers argued that Feldman and Davis were more deserving, while others defended Baldwin, praising her dance quality.
One viewer made their frustration clear, saying, "Yea no, i’m done watching this season since she’s still on. corey and baron deserve to be there more than her. was ready to sit down every tuesday to watch my tuesdays are now free [sic]."
Others echoed similar feelings, with a blunt post reading, "Baron deserved better. Send her home." One disappointed fan even admitted, "i literally sobbed i’m not even joking why why whyyyy bring baron back please i miss him [sic]."
Several also questioned Baldwin's place in the competition at all, "A real shame people voted for Hilaria Baldwin on dwts. She has a lot of ballroom experience, she shouldn't even be on the show. Baron should've been saved for another week instead of Hilaria taking that spot [sic]."

That sentiment was echoed by another person, "I'm sorry... But I need Hilaria Baldwin gone. She has had ballroom training in the past. It's not fair." Not everyone was against her, though. One supporter celebrated, "Another week of Hilaria giving us the best dance of the night."
Another person tried to separate popularity from performance, writing, "I get Hilaria struggles with popularity, but she had the best dance of the night. My opinion is purely based on her dance. Just saying!" And one more chimed in on her routine with praise, "Best dance of the night! Should have been a higher score."
Who's Rising and Who's at Risk
The lowest scores of the controversial evening went to Feldman and Johnson, followed by Andy Richter with 16 out of 30 for his Tango alongside Emma Slater.
Davis and Stewart rounded out the bottom three. Baldwin and Savchenko ultimately also landed in the bottom three once combined scores and votes were tallied. At the top of the leaderboard, four couples tied for the highest score of the night with 22 out of 30.
Jen Affleck and Jan Ravnik impressed with their Quickstep, Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa brought energy with a Jive, Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas delivered a strong Cha Cha, and Robert Irwin and Witney Carson shone with a Tango.
Emotional Farewells from the Eliminated
As the couples who were eliminated left the stage, they shared some final words with the audience. Corey admitted he felt especially bad for his partner, Johnson, "Jenna is amazing. I feel really terrible because she deserved better, personally speaking. She was the queen from last year. She deserves to be the champ every year in my book."
Baron also left a message for fans, explaining that his motivation had been for his partner, Stewart. "I haven't been coached in a while, so to get off my butt was awesome," he said, after noting he had "wanted to" win for her.
Irwin Leaves Judges and the Internet Stunned with Electric First Dance
As we previously reported, "Dancing with the Stars" Season 34 premiere kicked off in true showbiz style on September 17. However, it was famous wildlife conservationist and TV personality Irwin who lit up the stage and stole the entire night.
The nature-loving star joined forces with professional dancer Carson to deliver a jaw-dropping jive to Steppenwolf's iconic anthem, "Born to be Wild." Initially, Irwin set the scene amid a safari-theme setting, perched atop a Land Rover parked in the midst of tall grass.

After setting his sights on Carson with a pair of binoculars, the charismatic TV personality pounced off the hood of the vehicle and ran to his partner.
Together, the pair twirled, kicked, flipped, and dipped their way through a performance that had every eye glued to the floor. Dressed in striking, matching ensembles, Irwin and Carson delivered with such energy and precision that the ballroom exploded with cheers.

Judge Hough, who won the coveted mirrorball trophy with Irwin's sister in Season 21, couldn't contain his awe. He showered Irwin with praise, even jokingly asking if the 21-year-old had been secretly training all these years.
"That was one of the best first dances I've ever seen on this show," declared Hough, and online, fans wholeheartedly agreed.

"Robert was hands down the best performance of the night #DWTS #robertirwin #minneapolisbct," stated a fan, while another added, "I feel bad for every other contestant ngl Robert's gonna take the mirror ball no question 👏🏼." "So good! He's dancing like a pro," asserted a fellow admirer. The praise continued with a supporter gushing, "my [sic] winner."
Yet another admirer echoed the sentiments, "Robert had the best dance of the night omg!! Whitney's [sic] choreo was perfect!!! #DWTS." "That really was the best 'DWTS' premiere in a long time. My money is on Robert & Whitney [sic] 🪩 #DWTS," marveled a fellow fan.
One viewer even highlighted the fact that Irwin performed so well despite the fact that he has no prior dancing experience.
Feldman's Tango Falls Flat as Fans Brutally Tear Him Apart
While Irwin's performance soared, one contestant's turn on the dance floor left viewers cringing. Feldman, known for his decades-spanning film career, attempted the tango alongside pro dancer Johnson — but failed to impress.
The pair, who donned glittery ensembles — Johnson in a striking, figure-hugging two-piece and Feldman in a dark-colored suit — danced their hearts out to Billy Joel's "It's Still Rock & Roll To Me." As Johnson kicked and spun, Feldman led them with robust choreography.

Despite their best efforts, the routine was met with harsh backlash online, where spectators didn't hold back. The performance was swiftly labeled one of the worst of the night as armchair critics unleashed their fury.
"Painful to watch! Yell at me if you want!!!! 🤪," shared one observer, while another said, "Oh Corey, that wasn't good."

Someone else even went so far as to say, "Next week he's gonna go he can't even move him and Andy are the first to go [sic]." "Nope dont like that 😒 [sic]," opined another person, while a fellow critic added, "He knew the steps but has no rhythm at all."
Sadly, the criticism didn't end there. "Unfortunately he's not going far, there are too many great dancers this season. He's seeing the bottom [sic]," stated an observer.
Even more netizens predicted Feldman and Johnson's future on the season…in not-so-bright terms. Someone even expressed sorrow for Johnson.
