5 Children Left Orphaned as Parents Die after Giant Tree Fell on Their Car during Birthday Trip

Five children were recently left orphaned after their parents died in an accident caused by a big tree that fell on their car while on their annual birthday road trip. Loved ones have described the loss as devastating.

A 45-year-old woman, Jessica Woodruff, and her husband, Jake Woodruff, 36, were recently killed by a falling redwood tree that fell on their tree while driving through California. They leave behind five children.

In the statement on a GoFundMe page created for the couple's kids, Megan, Evan, Casey, Allie, and Chelsea, Jessica and Jake's death was described as a shocking and unexpected event.

The couple was driving through Route-199 when the unfortunate incident happened. They had been on a road trip to celebrate Jessica's 45th birthday before their tragic deaths. This was an annual tradition for the lovebirds,

Speaking about the incident, a California Highway Patrol Officer noted that the accident's timing was unusual, adding that it had been a pleasant day with no wind.

According to the GoFundMe statement, Jessica, Jake, and their kids shared a close bond, and the couple's death will undoubtedly leave the children's lives changed forever.

The page also notes that not only will Megan, Evan, Casey, Allie, and Chelsea have to deal with the devastation and trauma of their parent's death, they also have a lifetime of expenses ahead of them.

The couple's tragic death comes only a few days after a Texas mom and her three young kids were killed in a car crash.

To this effect, a $500,000 goal was set on the GoFundMe account. So far, there have been over one thousand donors, and a total of $141,091 has been raised for the five siblings.

Emma Miravalle, a family member of the deceased couple, reportedly revealed that following the news of Jessica and Jake's death, the two oldest children have immediately taken on the role of raising their younger siblings.

Miravalle described Jessica and Jake as a humble and fun-loving pair who knew they were soulmates from the moment they first met. Undoubtedly, this is a huge loss for their loved ones.

The couple's tragic death comes only a few days after a Texas mom and her three young kids were killed in a car crash caused by a speeding 35-year-old driver, Daniel Canada.

While these people's lives have been abruptly cut short, there is no doubt that even in years to come, their memories will live on in the hearts of their family and loved ones.
