Amy Schumer Shares Video of Dad Meeting Goldie Hawn for the 1st Time — See Heartwarming Moment

Hollywood star Amy Schumer had fans on her media timeline filled with emotions after sharing a clip of the precious moment her dad, Gordon Schumer, met star actress Goldie Hawn.

Anyone viewing TV star Amy Schumer’s latest Instagram update would hardly hold back emotions as she showed off the soul-stirring moment her dad, Gordon Schumer, met Hollywood icon, Goldie Hawn.

The clip showed the senior citizen getting prepared for the pleasant surprise his famous daughter had for him. The camera was placed at an up-close view showing how the emotions played out on Gordon’s face.

His daughter playfully asked him why he was in tears, and he replied with the same humor that it was the weather. When Gordon was asked to play it cool, he answered that he could not.

When Amy was 12-years-old, her dad was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS).

At this moment, Hawn walked in, moving towards him with her hands spread out. By now, the waterworks came flowing. Gordon also stretched out his hands, accepting a warm hug. Amy wrote in her caption:

“When my dad met @goldiehawn.”

It was especially an emotional development and a precious one because Amy was able to gift her dad something that made him tear up with joy. For years, Gordon has lived in an assisted living facility.

When Amy was 12-years-old, her dad was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), and she had to keep the family together. According to her, she kept everyone laughing.

Amy noted that the MS spectrum was unpredictable because sometimes her dad would be full of life, sharing jokes, and other times, the pain would be unbearable for him.

Before Gordon met Hawn in person, they had virtually spoken via Facetime. Although it is unclear what the Instagram video's timeline is, Hawn and Amy worked together on the 2017 movie “Snatched.”

Recently the “I Feel Pretty” actress reunited with her father after a year-long social distancing precaution. The star was excited to see her dad again as she took her little son, Gene, along with her.

Last year in March, the story was different, and the health facility prohibited in-person visits for their patients. Amy and Gene had to stand on the sidewalk close to Gordon’s window with a sign showing their love for him.
