Amy Schumer Brings Son Gene to See His Granddad for the 1st Time in a Year Amid COVID-19
Amy Schumer’s son, Gene, has finally seen his grandfather for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic broke last year. The actress recently gave fans a glimpse of the special moment!
Popular comedian, Amy Schumer was recently reunited with her father, Gordon, after being separated from him for months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Taking to her Instagram story, Schumer shared a heartwarming family picture featuring herself, Gordon, and her 22-month-old son, Gene David.

In the picture, Gordon donned a white and black plaid shirt while Schumer, who stood behind him, rocking a white and blue sweater with a KN95 mask. The actress cradled little Gene, dressed in a cute plaid shirt with blue pants.
The one-year-old was captured with a pacifier in his mouth. Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic last March, Schumer revealed to fans that she and Gene managed to see Gordon from afar due to the strict social distancing guidelines.
Over the years, Schumer has been open about her father’s health issues. The actress reportedly once revealed that Gordon has lived with multiple sclerosis since she was 12.
Schumer explained that Gordon coped very well with his diagnosis on some days, while he seemed to be in a lot of physical pain on other days.

With his preexisting condition, Gordon belongs to one of the groups of people at high risk of contracting COVID-19, making him unable to see his grandson.
Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, tied the knot in February 2018 and welcomed Gene, their first child together over a year later in May 2019.
Earlier this year, Schumer and her husband also celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary, and the actress was sure to dedicate a post to him on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Schumer shared an adorable photo of herself and Fischer posing alongside each other while wearing nose masks and hats.
The doting wife accompanied it with a caption reading “Married for three years,” and as expected, the post garnered several reactions from their fans.
In addition to showing off some of her family’s memorable moments, Schumer also enjoys melting fans’ hearts by sharing a glimpse into her little boy’s life.
Last month, the proud mom gave a glimpse of Gene’s adorable reaction when he was watching her Superbowl ad. The heartwarming moment was simply too cute for words!
Though Schumer has a very successful career, the actress has consistently proved that despite the fame and fortune, family will always come first for her.
