Kevin Costner, who played John on the show, is counting down the days to the new season's release, which has been revealed to be in November after the network released a trailer on Friday.

Costner wrote in the comment section that he was ready. Fans admitted that they were patiently waiting for the release, expected to be in November and not in June like all other seasons.
Some fans expressed their impatience, having to wait for the release in the fall, while others named it the best series on TV, saying they watched the rest of the seasons only this weekend. Another one wanted to know when it would be released, saying:
"I need a definite date, please!!!"
Some viewers are excited about the continuation of the series, while others are quite frustrated that they will have to wait till fall to see season four.
Yellowstone, however, has not given an official reason for the delay but responded to fans' questions and criticism about the delay on their Twitter handle, saying, "Revenge will be worth the wait."
Hauser joked that the first episode should be named "Wrath of Rip".
Yellowstone follows the lives of the Dutton family, shepherded by Costner, who plays John Dutton. John controls the large ranch, often under attack from America's first National Park, an Indian reservation, and land developers who border the ranch.
Towards the end of season three, John gets shot, Kayce Dutton is left for dead after the building is raided by armed men, while John's daughter Beth's fate is unknown as a building explodes with her inside. One fan was really looking forward to finding out, saying:
"I just need to know if Beth survived!!"

Costner has been keeping Yellowstone fans busy as they wait for the release of the new season. He posted his character John Dutton and captioned it, asking his fans what they thought could be going on in John's mind.
Fans took to his comment section to air their thoughts, saying he could be thinking that Beth was an absolute angel, while another fan said that John was wondering if he'd unplugged the curling iron.
Costner, who fits his role perfectly, says that filming Yellowstone has been quite a difficult adjustment. He adds that it was supposed to be one long movie when they began filming, but then it turned into 4, with 10 episodes each.
He says that at first, he struggled, but he's realized that filming Yellowstone is not very different from making movies. He says the days start early and end late, but he has adapted.
Rumors flew that Costner would not be returning for season four, citing that the show kept him away from his family, but he refuted the claims and is set to return for the new season.
Other cast members who will reprise their roles are Kelsey Asbille (Monica), Cole Hauser (Rip), Wes Bentley (Jamie), Kelly Reilly (Beth), and Luke Grimes (Kayce). New members will include Kathryn Kelly (Nashville), Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly), and Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook).
Reilley says the coming season will be "most satisfying," even though she did not disclose how much of a part she will play. Hauser joked that the first episode should be named "Wrath of Rip," leaving fans anticipating what will happen.
