Police Officers Tell Woman She Can't Be In the Park without Kids
Two police officers walked up to a black woman, informing her that adults won't be allowed in the park without kids the following week. However, she felt "harassed" by the cops.
A black woman studying at the park was approached by two officers to inform her about the park's policy, to be observed the following week. According to the cops, the woman could no longer come to the park if she did not have kids.
The woman felt harassed as the officers continued to explain why she was not allowed, even after she said she would not be in the park at that time.

A Reddit user posted two videos taken from both the cop and the woman's point of view. As seen in the clip, the male cop was okay with being filmed and continued to explain:
"Even if you are not homeless, you cannot be present in the park if you do not have children -- if you have no business here. It's a law. Do you understand that? So I'm not harassing you."
According to the other officer, the woman was not singled out as they informed other people at the park about the rule. Still, the black woman felt otherwise.

She claimed that the male officer kept coming closer and continued to explain even though she already said she wouldn't be at the park the following week.
It seems that the US is not the only place with unsafe parks nowadays.
The woman continued to explain that she knew how cops are towards African-American people and that despite peacefully studying, the officer continued to "harass" her.

The post was met with several comments from people who disagreed with the law regarding public parks. One Reddit user said:
"If my tax dollars are paying for the creation and maintenance of public parks you best believe I'm using the park regardless of whether there are children present."
On the other hand, others focused more on whether the cop was harassing the woman. In the footage from the woman's point of view, people quickly pointed out that the officer did not have a friendly approach.

"He's being the furthest thing from helpful and informative," one person commented. "This is the type of cop that is capable of anything, if not for the camera," another said.
Public parks have become recreational areas for many people. However, some places set laws on park usage, including the city of Hollywood, Florida.
In 2015, the city banned adults who were unaccompanied by a minor from entering the park playground as it was designated for children's use.

In the past years, recreational parks were created for public use and childrens' well-being. However, there are also unimaginable things that happen in such places.
The body of a newborn baby was recently discovered in Magnolia Gardens Park, Texas, after the infant was left for the public to see.
It seems that the US is not the only place with unsafe parks nowadays. In a similar occurrence, a 16-year-old boy's body was found at Balloch Country Park in Scotland. The reason for his demise is still being investigated.
