Kelly Clarkson Sparkles in a Long Gown to Announce New Song

Reality star judge and singer Kelly Clarkson shared a photo of herself in a sparkly floor-length gown to announce her new Christmas song, released later this month.

"Since U Been Gone" singer Kelly Clarkson excited her fans this week as she shared she will be releasing a new Christmas single, "Christmas Isn't Canceled (Just You)," later this month on September 23.

The singer shared the announcement on Instagram alongside a photo of the cover where Clarkson poses in a stunning floor-length silver and sparkling gown.

The dress features a waist detailing that shows off her figure and has a dramatic cape that flows over her shoulders. The talk show host finished the look with 50s inspired curls and a bright red lip.

Clarkson struck a strong pose for the photo. She had her hands on her hips while she stared down at the camera. "The Kelly Clarkson Show" host shared the details of the song's release in the caption:

"Christmas isn’t canceled (just you) out 9/23 🎄🎅 Pre-save at the link in my bio!"

Fans quickly filled the comment section with messages of excitement and support for the singer and her new song. One wrote that the cover photo and title of the song were epic.

Another eager fan remarked that they knew the song was going to "slap." Many others shared their love for the singer and stated they were excited to hear Clarkson's new single.

The song's title sparked a little surprise as the "Stronger" singer filed for divorce from her husband, Brandon Blackstock, last year in June. The singer had cited irreconcilable differences.

The former couple shares two young children, their son Remington, 5, and daughter, River, 7. Recently, the two kids appeared on her talk show. During the segment, Remington exclaimed:

"I need to go to the bathroom."

This totally stole the show from "Coldplay" vocalist Chris Martin, who was busy performing the band's song "Yellow" for Clarkson and her two children. Clarkson shared the moment on her Instagram page.

Clarkson won primary custody of her two children in November. The couple had married in 2013, having met in 2006 while Blackstock was married to his first wife. Blackstock and Clarkson then reconnected in 2012.

Fans were shocked to hear of the couple's separation as the split came weeks after Clarkson admitted to Gordon Ramsay that she wanted to have another child as she had baby fever after seeing Ramsay's son Oscar.

Clarkson has not publically discussed her divorce, but recently, she and Dr. Jill Biden, First Lady of the United States, had an emotional conversation in which Biden said things would be better tomorrow.
