A McDonald's worker went a tad too far by adding an undesirable ingredient to a customer's frappe to teach them a lesson. The action cost the staff more than his job.

One angry employee decided to take his revenge on an annoying customer by adding an extra ingredient to their frappe. The worker took to TikTok to recount the mischievous stunt, which turned out less than hilarious for him.

The video showed the worker dressing the frappe, which was set on a worktop. The worker added some cream to the order before pulling out a pack of sweet and sour sauce and emptying its content on the creamy topping.

He captioned, "When the customer has an attitude, but u remember I only make 8.50 an hour (sic)." The clip, which has been viewed over seven million times, caused a stir on the video-sharing platform, attracting over a hundred thousand comments.

Many users condemned the employee's actions, calling him out for being unscrupulous and immature. One wrote:

"8.50 is better than 0 if you get fired. Grow up because you are gonna learn that you will have to deal with these people and now you are no better."

Most of the commenters reminded the employee about the detrimental impact of his actions on his integrity and that of the company. Aside from the expected reaction from the customer after tasting the sauce, such action could trigger an allergic reaction from the unsuspecting customer, thereby putting them in harm's way.

Such potentially fatal situations could tarnish the company's image and be deemed illegal, causing both the perpetrator and the company bogus penalties when sued. Reacting to the post, a TikToker wrote:

"Can't you be cited or arrested by PD for that? What if they were allergic to sweet and sour and they died?"

Others hoped the customer in question retaliated in some way to teach the staff some manners. Most users reminded the poster that it was his duty as a server in a restaurant to render the appropriate service irrespective of the customer's attitude.

However, most seemed to disagree, insisting the customer got what they deserved for taking out their anger on a server striving to make a living. One person commented:

"I worked in a fast food, and I never understood why people give attitude to someone who's simply doing their job."

Some commenters found the revenge plan hilarious, giving the worker the thumbs up for standing up for himself.

Most chastised him for only stopping at the chili sauce when he could have done something worse. Many TikTokers believed the customer deserved every ounce of what they got for not treating servers right. A comment read:

"Why's everybody freaking [about] this. It's literally a joke. And if you're worried [about] your food being messed up, then respect the workers making it."

The McDonald's worker's stunt made many people resolve not to patronize the restaurant again lest they get the same treatment. Some demanded that the restaurant terminated their contract with the poster as he represented them wrongly.

They soon got their wishes. In a follow-up video, the worker was seen walking out of the restaurant and waving goodbye, admitting TikTokers finally got him fired.
