Woman Who Prepared 'Friendsgiving' Dinner Is Disappointed after Friends Stop Answering Her Texts
After her friends bailed on her on Friendsgiving, a woman was left in tears, putting weeks of planning and a table full of assorted dishes to waste. Thankfully, a last-minute twist turned things for the better.
Three hours into her would-have-been Friendsgiving dinner and Maryann knew she was up for the greatest disappointment of her life. The heartbroken woman reached out to her boyfriend, Christian Zamora, who did his bit to make her day better.
According to Zamora, his girlfriend spent weeks planning the feast alongside her friends. However, none of her pals showed up as planned, even after a three-hour wait.

At first, Maryann convinced herself they were simply running late. But as the hours went by uneventfully, she figured they had bailed on her. Worst still, her pals stopped answering her texts, giving her all the conviction she needed.
Overwhelmed with disappointment and sadness, the woman called Zamora over, who wasted no time joining her. Understanding her feelings, the caring boyfriend tried consoling her to no avail.
He eventually sought help from TikTokers, recording a video of the subtly decorated basement, lined with dining tables, chairs, and tons of homemade dishes she had painstakingly prepared in advance and sharing it on the platform.
As the camera panned the room, it showed glimpses of Maryann, looking dejected as she sat on one of the tables, as if unable to believe her reality. Zamora wrote:
"My girlfriend was so excited for her first Friendsgiving but no one showed up. She decorated the whole basement and cooked so much food. I keep trying to cheer her up, but nothing is working."

Sure enough, TikTok users came to the rescue, taking to the comments section to offer words of comfort and encouragement to the disappointed woman. A comment read:
"Honey, I'm so sorry this happened to you. Your setup looked awesome! I would turn up with you in a heartbeat if I was your neighbor."
Many pointed out that getting stood up by her friends was a blessing in disguise, as it was a direct pointer that it was time to change her circle. One wrote: "I have a hard time believing those girls didn't plan to stand her up. Cut them out of your life and never look back."

Some took the initiative to offer Maryann an arm of friendship, reassuring her they would make better friends if included in her circle.
One TikTok user reassured the woman that her day would turn out for the better as help was on the way, while another marveled at how soon she could make thousands of true friends on TikTok, which proved she was an amazing person. Another commented:
"The worst thing people do is not call or text saying they're not coming. If they didn't want to go, they could've been honest."
In an updated video, Zamora thanked TikTokers for coming through for his girlfriend. He also confirmed "Friendsgiving" had an unexpected turn, as his own friends showed up to fill up all the empty seats, bringing more food and drinks along.
In the end, Maryann had her dream Friendsgiving, albeit with unexpected guests. While she was admittedly disappointed in her friends, she did have her happy ending, which was the whole point of Friendsgiving.
