Elderly Grandmother-Of-17, Who Married a 24-Year-Old, Now Plans to Have a Baby with Him
A now-61-year-old woman met her husband-to-be when he was only 15 years old. Now married, some individuals are disgusted. Either way, others' opinions will not be getting in the way of their next journey together.
Thirty-seven years his senior Cheryl McGregor, from Rome, Georgia, married 24-year-old Quran McCain in September of 2021.
Now the pair want to take it one step — or leap — further, but the road towards this goal has proven highly challenging.

THE START OF SOMETHING NEW
The two initially ran into each other in 2012 when McCain was only 15 years old and working at Dairy Queen alongside his future wife.
There was no spark or romantic inclination until much later on, after they had previously lost touch with one another. In 2020, the two became acquainted again and pursued a romantic relationship.
YOUNG AT HEART
Reportedly the pair felt instant chemistry emanating between them. Of course, many are taken aback by their difference in age, with McCain expressing:
"Even though it is an age gap, we never think of it because Cheryl has a very young spirit, soul, and heart.”
Beyond this, they claim they have a healthy and vigorous sexual relationship despite the vast years between them. The two are not shy about this either, sharing an NSFW OnlyFans account.
THE NEXT MILESTONE
McGregor has seven children and 17 grandchildren but has decided that she is not done yet. She and McCain want to bring new life into this world, with him expressing:
“We got married in September 2021, and it’s been a few months since we are ready to start a family.”
Of course, due to McCain's spouse's age and her unlikely ability to fall pregnant, the duo has opted for surrogacy.
A MISSING MOTHER
There is an almost definite chance that the 61-year-old may be missing from their child or children's lives due to her age. The elderly woman stated:
“We understand that I may not be there for as long as Quran is, but I have faith in him.”
McGregor also divulged that their relatives, who were also not open to their matrimony, didn't support their longing to have kids either. However, she said, they eventually have become much more supportive.
THE LOVERS AND HATERS
Many have strong opinions about their relationship. In one Instagram clip on McGregor's account where he is proudly advocating for him and his wife's love, one individual wrote:
"Your relationship is beautiful and shows that loves transcends all 'boundaries' that people see. Age means nothing when you’ve found the one that lights your soul on fire."
The pair do face a fair share of criticism online. In one TikTok video posted on McGregor's account, one TikToker accused McCain of trying to access his other half's life insurance.

FIRING BACK
The young man has not kept silent on the issue, claiming that he and his wife are not affected by the critiques. In his own words:
"We get a lot of hate, but it doesn't phase us. At the end of the day, we still got each other, and that's all that matters. [sic]”
McCain expressed that he and McGregor are no different from any other couple, saying that he and his wife feel sorry for the naysayers.
CREATING A FAMILY
Society tends to have many opinions on romantic relationships and all companionship and partnerships in general.
While many may not view Mary Banos and Connie Joi's relationship through a highly critical lens, they may still deem it an unorthodox partnership.

Banos, who grew up in the foster system, forming a connection with another younger foster child Joi, ended up adopting Joi when they were both adults.
This adoption provided Joi with healthy family links after going through various forms of trauma. Joi had to face one terrible ordeal when her foster brother sexually abused her as a child.
What do you think of these two relationships? Furthermore, are you involved in a relationship that is considered "taboo," and what is that experience like for you?
