'My Heart Fell in Love with You': Girl Makes Adoptive Mom Melt Recalling Their First Meeting

The relationships between mothers and daughters are precious and wonderful to behold. One girl and her mom were proof of this deep bond, leaving the internet in a puddle of collective tears.

If you want brutal honesty, as many will agree, ask a child. But, the same goes for sharing emotional truths.

Kids, in their innocence, have not learned to fear being vulnerable. One little girl from Dallas, Texas, opened up her heart for all the world to see, leaving everyone teary-eyed.

In 2019, a 5-year-old Gaby had the most adorable chat with her mom. She spoke about being adopted, along with her younger sister Lily.

THE CUTEST CONVERSATION

A clip of this exchange was shared on Facebook. Gaby appeared to ask her mom if she knew when she and her sibling were born, saying:

"When me and Lily was born? You know how did we got born? [sic]"

Gaby didn't wait for her mom to answer. Instead, she then stated that when she was 4 years old, her sibling was still a tiny baby.

THE THRILL OF FINDING A HOME

Still looking at her mother with love, this pre-schooler then said it was at these ages when she and Lily met her. The little girl said:

"We was very excited to meet you and our daddy. And we love you guys, and we want to be here for you and daddy. [sic]"

The mom responded to the sparkly-eyed baby. She said that she and their father were also delighted to meet her.

A BEAUTIFUL MOMENT

Gaby made sure that her baby sister was included. She asked her mommy if she was excited to meet Lily as well. Of course, she said yes. But, nothing could prepare the internet for what the little girl said next:

"Well, do you know what happened to my heart? What happened...Well, when the first time I told you when I saw you, my heart fell in love with you."

Gaby's story touched the mom, but this statement specifically moved her. The mother said she felt the same way with a profoundly affectionate tone in her voice. She then lightly brushed a piece of hair off Gaby's face. Gaby kept looking up at her mom with love in her glowing eyes.

BREAKING THE INTERNET

People online went crazy for this adorable exchange. The clip of this mommy-daughter chat has gained 305,000 reactions and 26,000 comments.

There was not one negative comment in sight. Everyone remarked on what an adorable video it was. Iris Rodriguez wrote:

"That is so sweet; you can hear the sweetness in her mommy's voice as well, so blessed to have found each other."

Many shared their own adoption stories, and some people opened up about how they were looking to adopt.

FINALLY FINDING A FOREVER HOME

While Gaby was lucky enough to have found her home at a very young age, some children remain without a family for years to come.

It took Dale Kiefer-Perrault just over three decades to find his true place of belonging. Before this happened, as a ward of the state, he had lived in 24 homes.

He told the duo his story, and they were so touched that they eventually decided to and managed to adopt him.

Now, although 33 years too late, like Gaby, Kiefer-Perrault has a family and a place to call home. Most importantly, he can now feel safe and loved -- Something every human being deserves.
