Inside Mayim Bialik's Home Where She Privately Raises Her 2 Sons after Her Heart Was Broken Twice
Mayim Bialik has lived on both spectrums of life. She has experienced happiness brought by her marriage and career, but she has also faced the worst form of heartbreak. Today, Bialik raises her sons in her 2.3 million dollar home.
Mayim Bialik began her career in entertainment as a child actor, first appearing on the NBC sitcom "Blossom" before appearing as a guest actress in "The Facts of Life" and "The Beauty and the Beast." Over the years, she grew into her roles, playing Amy Farrah Fowler on "The Big Bang Theory."
But aside from an ever-rising career, Bialik also found success in her love life after meeting her first husband, Michael Stone, in a calculus class when they were both graduate students at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

They started as racquetball partners and calculus buddies but eventually, their relationship turned romantic, and they married in 2003 in a Victorian-themed Jewish ceremony in Pasadena, California.
Two years into marriage, they welcomed their first child Miles, and in 2008, they became parents again after Bialik gave birth to the couple's second son, Frederick. Parenting came naturally to them.
However, Bialik would later come under fire for her "attachment parenting," a method she says advocates for nurturing solid bonds between parents and children, including extended breastfeeding and parents and children sleeping in the same bed until the children are as old as seven.

Unfortunately, as perfect as their marriage appeared from the outside, they had marital trouble like any other couple does. In 2012, after nearly a decade together, they announced that they were splitting up. They, however, did not give the reasons for their shocking split.
Like anyone else, divorce was hard on the "Blossom" star, and she would later open up about it, saying that she often cried when she wrote her blogs about the emotional and spiritual toll the split had taken on her.

At nearly 40 years of age, the actress found herself single, and she had this to say about marriage: "I tried to be married once. I was in that position, and... I failed."
"If ever there were a story that should have ended not like this, I feel this might be it," Bialik confessed. "But he has his own will, and much as I wish I could control his will, I cannot. And so here we are."
A SECOND HEARTBREAK

Following her divorce, the "Molloy" actress found love again with a man that remained unnamed for their entire relationship. Unfortunately, after five years together, the two broke up in December 2018. The actress wrote on her Instagram, as People reports:
"I'm newly single and not doing so well, to be quite honest."
Sharing her experience on her blog "Mayim Mishegaas," the actress-turned-game-show-host said that while there was no perfect timing for a breakup, one during the holidays was particularly brutal. She wrote:
"Say what you will, the holidays are a time to not be recently broken up. I know this much is true."

With a successful film career and then transitioning to hosting the game show "Jeopardy!" Bialik has had one of Hollywood's most robust careers. And it shows in her lifestyle and choice of home.
Today we take a tour into her 2.3 million dollar Los Angeles home, where she made new beginnings after she divorced her husband in 2013 and where she raises her two sons.

Her 2,483 square foot home has been under renovations for the past several years, and in 2020, the "Empty Nest" actress boasted of her Delish kitchen renovations.
The modern kitchen is made of reclaimed wood from other parts of the house, with the cabinets built inside out with the wood that used to be the kids from upstairs.

The result was beautiful, unique patterns on the cabinets depending on what part of the kids' room the wood came from.
The kitchen also features an open cabinetry design, a tin ceiling, and poured concrete counters, all handcrafted by an ex who was a qualified fine finish carpenter.

Another unique feature in the kitchen is that the light fixtures are vintage chicken bird feeders. For dishes, the kitchen boasts a large copper farmhouse sink.
The rustic style home also features exposed wooden ceiling panels, wooden floors, four spacious bedrooms, and four fireplaces, with one in the main bedroom.

The living area has dark blue furniture and a massive bookshelf with a vintage piano underneath. Around the house are numerous framed photos that showcase a unique sense of style.
The home, set in Los Angeles's Studio City neighborhood, has a massive backyard with a private saltwater pool and a brick walkway surrounded by herb and flower gardens and outdoor furniture.
HER LIFE AFTER HEARTBREAK
Heartbreak can take a toll on everyone, but Bialik has weathered it and come out strong. She found love again with her boyfriend, Jonathan Cohen, a poet, writer, and futurist. Though new in their relationship, the two were not strangers and met years back on a toddler's birthday.
However, at the time of their meeting, Bialik was still married to Stone, and they remained acquaintances for a long time until love located them again.
But aside from finding love, Bialik has also struck a balance of co-parenting with her ex-husband. She disclosed that she was incredibly grateful that they could co-parent their kids amicably during the pandemic, saying:
"I'm so incredibly grateful, not only for my ex-husband but for all of the work that we've put in to be able to have the kind of conversations we have to have."

"We're essentially quarantining together in two houses, meaning we're the only people that we see, and our kids go between two houses." She added.
Bialik considered the pandemic a beautiful opportunity to determine where they did not align in their parenting techniques. In her words, her ex-husband was the stricter parent.
