On June 6, 2022, the founder of the non-profit "Big Cat Rescue" and one of the stars of "Tiger King," Baskin, turns 61 years old. The show "Tiger King explores this animal rights activist's feud with nemesis Joe Exotic.

She managed to get this "Tiger King," as the man refers to himself, behind bars for his former controversial "Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park." Not only for that but for attempting to hire an individual to murder him.

Exotic's apparent sanctuary for animals was a breeding ground for large cats sold for profit and putting on splashy animal shows. But, it's not Exotic that the audience zoomed in on as the villain but rather Baskin herself.

Beyond her constant clash with "The Tiger King," suspicions arose from audiences wondering if Baskin was responsible for her late husband, Don Lewis' disappearance.

Baskin is still running her non-profit "Big Cat Rescue" and says she wants everything to go back to normal. At this moment, her net worth is purportedly in the millions.

Stepping out of her role as an animal rights activist for a moment, Baskin also took part in ABC's "Dancing With The Stars."She lasted two weeks into the competition.

She was unimpressed with the first season of "Tiger King," referring to it as sensationalist and obscene. The non-profit owner claimed that the directors attempted to make peace with her. But, she said:

“I wouldn’t call Eric Goode or Rebecca Chaiklin true documentarians. I mean that ["Tiger King"] was just a reality show dumpster fire.”

Baskin alleged that people had called her, spewing hate and threatening violence. She stated that they terrorized her by claiming they would murder her and her cats.

IS JOE EXOTIC STILL IN JAIL? WHAT IS HE DOING NOW? '

Exotic remains in jail for just over two decades. The once-king-of-large cats have been found guilty of going against wildlife laws and hiring a hitman.

The hitman was an undercover FBI agent "hired" by Exotic to murder Baskin. He maintains that he is innocent.

The "Tiger King" himself is in the sequel aptly named "Tiger King 2." But it is only through phone calls accessed behind prison walls.

Exotic has been diagnosed with stage-1 cancer and has begged the judge to set him free so he can pass away outside the confines of jail.

Baskin and her now-husband were at the court when this happened. She stated that she still feels threatened by him, even more so because now he has a fan base.

Baskin is not the only person receiving negative media attention on a large scale. Whether you love or loathe her, there's no denying that Amber Heard is experiencing public backlash the likes of epic proportions.

The petition to fire Heard from "Aquaman 2" has gone over 4.5 million signatures. The actress had to pay her ex-husband Johnny Depp $15 million in damages, but the court had to reduce it to $350,000.
