Groom Disappears during Photoshoot, Bride Turns around and Sees Him in a River with a Child

While a couple was posing for their wedding photoshoot, the bride felt something was wrong. Turning her head to the side, she noticed the groom was missing. A few moments later, she saw him in the nearby river with a child.

Many people might forget the last time they laughed their hearts out, but they will remember the most unusual thing they experienced, especially if the strange incident happened on the most important day of their lives. The woman in today's story went through something similar.

THE BIG DAY

In an intriguing turn of events, the best day of Clayton and Brittany Cook's lives turned out to be so unusual that it made it to the news. It all started when the couple reached their wedding photoshoot location in Ontario, Canada.

Clayton and Brittany tied the knot in September 2017 and had chosen a park bridge to click photos that would remind them of their big day.

Their photographer, Darren Hatt, clicked a few of their photos together and then asked Clayton to step aside for the bride's photoshoot. As Brittany posed for the pictures, something strange caught Clayton's attention.

HER GUT FEELING

When Clayton turned his head to look at the beautiful park, he saw a few children standing alongside the river. Meanwhile, Hatt captured mesmerizing photos of Britany.

A few moments later, Brittany felt something was not right. She couldn't feel Clayton's presence, who she thought was standing near her. It wasn't until she turned around that she realized what had happened. Brittany recalled:

"I look over and I see Clay in the water and I think, what is he doing?"

GROOM IN THE RIVER

While Brittany tried to figure out what had happened, Hatt captured the unusual sight of a groom dressed in an expensive suit who was now drenched in water. Besides Clayton, there was a little boy in the river.

After Clayton came out of the water, Brittany and Hatt asked him why he had suddenly jumped in. Clayton said that he had seen a few little boys follow them into the park and were later standing near the river when Brittany was getting her photoshoot done. Moments later, Clayton noticed something strange. He recounted:

"I saw the boy in the water struggling to keep his head up. That's when I jumped down."

THE LITTLE BOY

According to Clayton, one of the boys had pushed the other guy, who couldn't keep his balance and fell into the river. Luckily, Clayton saw him at the right time when his face was underwater, and he struggled to come up. The groom said:

"I just kind of plucked him out and he was okay."

After coming out of the river, the boy went quiet. He didn't expect the groom to abandon his photoshoot and jump into the river. The little boy was shocked and later went away with his older sibling.

THE BRIDE'S REACTION

At first, Brittany thought her husband had jumped into the river as a joke but later realized how serious the situation was. However, she said she wasn't surprised by Clayton's quick reaction because she knew he could "instinctively" save someone's life. She said:

"It was like fate almost, we were meant to be there."

While Brittany wasn't surprised that her husband had saved a life, the photographer was stunned. He hadn't expected Clayton would react so quickly after spotting the boy in the river.

A RARE WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT

When Hatt uploaded the couple's photos on his Facebook page, people were shocked to see the groom standing knee-deep in the river. Hatt appreciated Clayton's quick reaction after telling people about the rare incident through the picture's caption. Hatt recalled:

"Almost as soon as I realized what was going on, he had already saved the day."
