Camilla Is 'The Sort' Who Would Refer to Meghan as 'That Minx' despite Welcoming Her into Family, Claims Expert
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became engaged in 2017, they had the full support of the other royal family members, or so they thought. It turns out that Camilla had been tight-lipped about her feelings towards her new stepdaughter-in-law until recently.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made headlines when they became a couple and even more so after their highly publicized engagement in November 2017.
Following the engagement, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and her husband, Prince Charles, released a statement, saying how happy and thrilled they were about the developments.
They then wished the newly-engaged couple nothing but happiness. It was a massive step in the right direction and a cause for celebration for the royal family and Harry and Meghan's fans.
Later Camilla spoke to reporters, saying that despite living in a surrounding that often bore terrible news, it was a breath of fresh air to celebrate some good news. She added:
"It's brilliant! America's loss is our gain. We are absolutely delighted. As you can see, they're so happy."

In an unexpected turn of events, royal biographer Tom Bower claims that Camilla and Markle have never seen eye to eye. Camilla has reportedly always been "suspicious" of Meghan's intentions from the very start.
According to Bower, Camilla never indeed expressed her feelings about the former "Suits" actress. The future Queen now regards the "Random Encounters" alum as ungrateful. He wrote:
"From the outset, Camilla was suspicious about the adventuress from Los Angeles."
CAMILLA AND MEGHAN REPORTEDLY ARE POLES APART

Bower, dubbed Britain's "most feared biographer," claims that Camilla and Markle are poles apart and have nothing in common. While Camilla exudes a more grounded and no-nonsense approach, Markle is a "fashionista seeking global fame."
The only thing he believes is common among them is that they call the UK home, are understandably suspicious of the media, and enjoy parties. Still, besides that, they have nothing to talk about that is of common interest.
Camilla is a practical and solidly upper-middle-class English woman, while Markle, having lived in the US for a period of her life, is one to chase the American dream. Bower explained:
"As a pace-setting, politically correct woke feminist, a supporter of Black Lives Matter, Meghan has nothing to talk about with Camilla."
The difference between the two women is not only evident in their political affiliations but also in their fashion choices. While Camilla is reportedly comfortable splashing in the mud with rubber boots, Markle is more comfortable donning an expensive dress with equally pricey accessories.

Please do not be mistaken. The animosity between the two duchesses is not limited to their choice of dresses or political alignments. Camilla is also said to dislike Markle for her actions and how they have affected the future King.
Harry and Markle's announcement about their exit from royal duties shocked the world, as it had never happened before. But Charles received the news with a grain of salt.
Camilla shared that while she'd seen Charles that angry before, it was on rare occasions. The future King is said to have grabbed a wooden floor lamp behind his desk and then caught himself right before hurling it across the room.

And while Charles is known for his Vesuvian temper, his wife could only define the reaction as frightening. It was impossible to miss the anger in his voice when he called Harry, asking why he had not called him with the news first before posting it on Instagram.
He boomed: "You couldn't have simply picked up the phone and called me? Or called the Queen? Really, Harry, this is completely unacceptable. You must apologize to your grandmother immediately. You must try and fix this."
Harry and Markle's announcement was followed by Charles believing that his son was hell-bent on publicly humiliating him, and Camilla watched her husband struggle with the situation.

She assured her husband that whatever was happening was in no way his fault, and while his son's actions challenged his authority, he would surely rise above it and emerge victorious.
During those inevitably endless tortured and inconclusive conversations, Camilla referred to Meghan as "'that minx' -- the self-seeking trouble maker whose antics will always end in tears."
To add salt to injury, the Sussex tell-all interview with Oprah in March 2021 opened Charles' unhealed wounds, and the Clarence House felt let down by their actions.

Nevertheless, in statements from Buckingham Palace following the interview, they always referred to Harry and Markle as loved family members. Still, a few parties did not think so, despite not voicing their opinions. One source would say:
"I don't think the Duchess will ever forgive Meghan for what she's done to the Prince of Wales."
CAMILLA AND MEGHAN'S FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER MAY BE RECIPROCATED

Camilla may not have been fond of Markle since she was first introduced to the royal family, but reports now say that Markle may reciprocate her feelings. Bower wrote as The Sun reports:
"It is believed that she has never liked Camilla, and I am sure the feelings are reciprocated."
The two duchesses have never been open about their feelings for each other, but the subtle comments and actions are evidence enough that none is fond of the other.

When the Queen announced that Camilla would be Queen Consort when Prince Charles becomes King, Harry and Markle remained quiet about it. Others were happy for Camilla and offered their sincere congratulations to the duchess on the imminent appointment.
However, Markle and Harry are said to have remained "tight-lipped" about the Queen's sincere wish, which Bower believes was deliberate and is an insult to the Royal Family. Bower shared:
"Perhaps the Sussexes' deafening silence is Meghan's way of declaring war."
Bower believes that Markle's animosity towards Camilla boils down to Harry's subtle resentment of the future Queen Consort, as he still blames her for breaking apart his parent's marriage.
